Maybe just some static charge? Happened to me few times when installing ram.

Unsure other brand, but HP you can try this?
Seem like they has think about this issues and give function something like this to discharge the Capacitor.(Not am Engineer so correct me if I am wrong)

Tried this method, still the same. Thanks anyway!

Edit: Ok, so this laptop has 4GB DDR4 2133Mhz ram installed. I purchased 8GB ram from here. Can it actually work? confused.gif

did you bought it at RM349 ? because you can actually get a faster speed 2400MHz at around below RM300 only.

anyway try removing the 4GB first, then use the 8GB and see how

nope, i bought it with LAZMATCH40 coupon last sunday. i thought buying higher frequency ram than my 2133Mhz would affect my performance..? confused.gif

and, i don't think i can remove the 4GB one..

Err... Nope, it will lower the frequency to 2133Mhz (by BIOS)to compatible with your other RAM, they has written difference frequency setup on the SPD/XMP. thumbsup.gif

Just download a CPU-Z, switch over to SPD, then you will see the Timing Tables. nod.gif

U can remove the lower one.. Just pull the pin on both side same as above one

If not mistaken the 4GB existing RAM is soldiered to the motherboard, I using Asus older model and it’s the case. U can’t remove it.
