So that I have a fallback mechanism if Wave fail.
But now my NFC always fail.
MST is functioning properly.
But ok la.
Still can show off pay using watch wat.
The face of cashier is priceless when pay using watch.

NFC is great and the way of the future but it doesn't hurt to have MST as a backup. Best of both world's.

I foumd a weird bug 4 of my transaction are getting double points for 1 transaction.

I've had a very bad experience with Samsung service centers lately. It's about the devices won in the last ranking contest for (S7 edge) and could probably apply on the prizes of latest Note 8 ranking contest.

Back in June 2017 I won the S7 edge in the Ranking contest, and when I received it (from SAMSUNG MALAYSIA) I went to Sunway service center and purchased the extended warranty and the screen protection warranty.

Around 2 months ago I had an issue with the battery, I went to lowyat service center to fix it, they checked the warranty status and said it'll be covered under warranty. And here's when the drama began:
After they opened the device to replace the battery, the called me and told me that this is not Malaysia set and it's not under warranty, they said it's Korean set !!
The funny thing is:
1- I received it from Samsung Malaysia.
2- I can use Samsung Pay on this device in Malaysia, and it's the Malaysian version.
3- The IMEI and model number show that it's Malaysian set.
4- Their front desk system shows that it's Malaysian set.
5- Their engineers system inside shows that it's Korean set.

After arguing, I accepted the fact that its warranty is not valid in Malaysia, after all I didn't pay for this device. But what pissed me off is that when I went to their service center to buy the extended warranty plus , they just took my money and sold it to me even though my device is not eligible to buy it.
They said that they agreed to refund me the amount. And since then, almost 2 months now, they keep delaying. Every time I call they say we'll transfer the money later today or tomorrow .. Until now no refund

So .. The device that Samsung Malaysia are giving as Samsung Pay prizes are not Malaysia sets !

Post on samsung facebook or email their korea samsung or global US Samsung your complaint. They take every complaint seriously.

This is possible but being a Samsung Pay reward, shouldn't you also received a letter proving that you won this and it would also state your warranty status? My iconx came with a letter that state the warranty status for it. Perhaps you should gave them the letter.

I gave it to them, didn't help. That one doesn't mention the warranty unlike the one I received with the gear iconx.

This argument very hard to win because they argue internal is korea set, imei and external is malaysia set because your imei is correct just the internal hardware is korea set.

As I mentioned, I accepted that there's no warranty, but why did they take my money for the extended warranty plus and now they keep delaying for more than a month and a half! They've been dealing with this very unprofessionally

I don't think this is a possibility. IMEI is internal as well. There's no way you can change board without changing IMEI. Thus what really happened should be Samsung prizes were prepared by Samsung Korea. When they arrived, of course they would have to manually entered into their system. Thus it should be regarded as special case basis.

I wouldn't contact Samsung Korea but instead would get in touch with Samsung Pay personnel. Press them to clarify the warranty and tell them SC is not honouring warranty.

Btw, is the warranty claim on first year or extended warranty? Perhaps that's why it was not honoured.

Exactly, they said it was sent from Korea directly. The warranty claim was within the first year.
Just now they called and told me that they registered it as local unit, and asked me to go to service center to get the official document to prove that the warranty is valid in Malaysia. Let's see..

This is really unacceptable and unethical. Worst case scenario, lodge a complain with consumer tribunal and viral it. MNC's don't like their image to be tainted.

Yup, that should be it. Btw which SC did you went to? That's why I still haven't sell my iconx. I was worried about the warranty despite what it said in the letter.
