Yes. I've also encountered merchants like this. These are usually workers, they have to follow what they are told to do.

In my experience with one merchant that I met, I managed to use spay to pay. But then he asked for my card number to be entered into his system. I gave the physical card number but he could not accept that because the last 4 digits are different from the one on the receipt. In the end, he had to void the sale, and use my physical card to pay. Anyway, I still got my spay rewards points.

I would ask for milk or creamer to go with it.

Right. Me too. Tapped at counter, spay points awarded and transaction was recorded, but on the terminal, it was still receiving. In the end, the message "please try again later" was shown on the terminal screen and on spay app, the transaction was stated cancelled. Tried a few times but still couldn't go through. So I went to tap at the pump and transaction went through. As usual, transaction was not recorded and points were not awarded using the kiosk.

I had problem using spay at BHP on Friday. Transaction got cancelled too. Waved at kiosk then no problem. I wonder if there is any relation between the two.

I have encountered accidental detection of MST a few times. Maybe the phone is too close to MST because of the angle of my phone and the terminal. Anyway, usually if cashier says they don't have wave, I would just use my physical card.

He mentioned MBB terminal. He just added an additional comment that PB terminal is good.

Was your purchase above RM250? Pin will only be triggered if the amount exceeds RM250. I've paid RM1k+ before using PB card on Samsung Pay and there wasn't any issue with it.

Paywave limit exeeded.... Could it be that you have used Samsung Pay to tap for 9 transactions already? If that is the case, it won't work on the 10th transaction until you reset it using pin.

It happened to me too at Tesco yesterday. Terminal showed Insufficient Funds. I'm also using PB card and had 5 taps before this with a total amount of RM400. Tesco purchase was RM45. Tried two times, and got the same message. In the end, had to use physical card.

The RM400 I spent on 5 taps was not in a day. It was for the past one week of spending. And I haven't even hit RM500 yet.

I asked PB sometime ago, and they actually told me that they don't know the limit. Their system will determine.

Has anyone tried the bcard with mst? This can only be used if the merchant has the swiping machine, right? If merchant scans barcode, then still have to use the barcode.

Should be able to. My mastercard has no wave, and I've been using it on Samsung Pay for some time now.
