its because of interchangeability, that value of the AA points and SPay points will converge over time. Without knowing the details of the conversion agreement, and based on informed speculation on how it works:

1. Spay and AA should have an agreement that they allow interchange at 1:1 between users
2. But there must be a value attach to it, if not, lets say everyone on AA converts their point to Spay, then samsung ended up paying the bill for the loyalty program of Air Asia
3. It will probably be on a "nett basis". Means if nett transfer is from AA to SPay, then AA pays SPay for the nett points
4. If Spay get 1cents per point from AA, then they can only afford to cost their rewards to 1 cent, else they will be subsidizing AA customers
5. No matter which way is more popular (we tend to think Spay), nett effect is monetary value will converge to 1 cent = 1 point (the lowest valuation)

The wooden clock previously 13200 only.. now become 20000.. felt like S point is becoming more useless day by day

I got it for 13200.

Samsung pay mistake very unfair for genuine spay user. So if wanna use spay dont focus on redemption just use for convenient

There is no fair value to the points - its worth what Samsung rewards tell us it is worth. If not happy, can go to AA points and its worth what Tony says its worth.

the same here ... since day 1 I have used it for the convenience of not needing to bring any C.cards.

I did not bother about the points at all (the points are a bonus) cause of the 6 months validity (that time cannot convert to AA) too short to even think of redeeming anything even with the purchase hack.

so far in the card/cash less market Spay is the best by a mile in terms of merchant acceptability & stability.
If they were to launch online pay ability it further cement their place.

Sad to see Samsung start and dies. If you are genuine spay user it will he impossible to get 100k points. You get fuked by bigpay

Limit 2500 points per month and expire every 6months.

That like 30months = 2 years 6months with 6months expiry points

Unless you used it daily, dont bother to redeem.

I had the iconx first gen and man, I wished I had sold it earlier. I dont used it often but I had to charge it every week in order to keep the battery healthy.

Something came into my mind....
.
.
.

Why not just allow "ONLY" those points under expiry to be redeemed? This will:
1) Curb the hijacking from AA Big Points.
2) More opportunity for new SPay users to enjoy rewards.
3) Offer more units for less value items like vouchers (Giant, TGV, etc) rather than limited units for physical items.
4) No need to inflate the redemption points unnecessarily.
5) Offer monthly rewards at lower redeeming rate, 850 pts for vouchers, 500 pts for free drinks, etc.

Example:
Attached Image

As shown above, the expiry points at 31st March 2020 is 1039 points. So, "ONLY" these 1039 points are allowed to redeem the rewards like 850 points for RM10 Giant voucher. The balance can be transferred to AA Big Points account, if needed. So, we can decide how many points to transfer back to SPay account to ensure the expiry points is within the redemption rate later.

But the above screenshot is not "ideal" for this case. By right, the points expiry is 31 January 2020. So, only the earliest expiry points are allowed to be redeemed. Meaning, 29 Feb and 31 March are not entitled for redemption.

Any +ve feedback from Sammy's rep...?

You guys never went to those e-wallet threads is it? Just look at what they are doing. They get plenty of points for BIG points conversion. What is 100K points?

Me redeemed the second Gen IconX.. After more than 14 months, still servicing well... But the Gear S3 Frontier (15 months ownership) needing everyday charge edy... Time to replace the anode-cathode module...

Wishing Sammy to offer redemption for device servicing voucher... perhaps RM100 Service Voucher @ 7,500 points....
