currently using Braun Buffel but the wallet design that I bought was really thick with lots of compartment and card slots.

Interested in slim wallet style preferably with coins compartment, any sifus here have good recommendation?

Do enlighten me on different brand eg: LV , Gucci, Prada, Hermes, Ferragamo etc.. the pros and cons of it. looking at these higher tier brand.

Thank you so much everyone.

don think u can say slim with coin compartment
in any case a lot of those major brands have a slimmer design variant
https://www.mrporter.com/en-sg/mens/accessories/wallets
or maybe wat u want is a card holder

If you want coins, you can't have it slim.

Simple as that.

What I do to counter that problem is to carry another pouch to keep the coins. Keeping the main wallet slim.

since you didnt mention the dimensions,
if want slim yet can fit notes and coins, get a long wallet as the contents will be spread out ... and the notes are not folded, making the wallet thin (but long)

other than that, you'll have to look into card holders.

alright got It ! long wallet is definitely not my thing , too femine and troublesome as it requires the usage of my hand all the time holding it instead of it being in pocket.

can slot into the back pocket with a little bit of it sticking out (but malaysia not safe to do so) or buy pants with a deep pocket.

if that's the case a pocket organizer/card holder with a money clip would be what you're looking for. Coins just leave it in the pocket and dig dig laugh.gif

Wouldn't recommend a coin compartment if you want a slim wallet in the first place.

Would recommend Bottega Veneta if you want something different and stylish at the same time. They do have coin compartments as well if its a must.

I dun own any of the luxury brand above only using Tumi card case which i find to be very good as a slim & compact wallet

Just enough place to put my ic,license, bank cards and some notes.. no coin compartment though but still can put some coins together with the notes

Found few slim minimal wallet with mini coin compartment ! The reason for coin compartment is the multipurpose usage of it duh as SD card / pendrive or any small mini stuff aside from coin. Still couldn’t find such wallet from high end luxury counterpart .

Will have a look at your suggestion thanks !

Obviously, high end luxury brands don't think that their customers would bother carrying coins, no?

That's why most of their wallet comes with 6 / 8 / 12 / 16 cards compartments and so....

yea true, but I hate how Malaysia often requires coin to perform some daily public task in an event if it ever arises, such as parking fee and etc.. when the notes keep getting rejected. couldn't recall which particular encounter but just in general sometimes coin play a crucial role in Malaysia. sad thing is if you're in other country you basically do everything via cashless transaction. ..

Imo if you put any sort of thumb drive into any wallet you're going to spoil the shape. I used to use wallets with coin pouches all the time and they never lasted as long compared to those without, even for the same brands. If I were you I'd just keep a small zip lock bag or something.

Hi bro, do you still using this wallet? How's the durability? The gusseted pocket that you use for cash, does Malaysian RM50 & RM100 fit nicely when folded?

Base on RM500-1000 budget, I would suggest Bellroy products for luxury commercial standard. For good quality handmade well known wallet I would suggest Onestarleathergood CXL leather. STR handmade leather wallet and Kisetsu Kaizen Crazy Horse leather wallet.

Currently I am using Bellroy Note Sleeve Designer Edition. (Designer Edition is going to be very limited and rare because Bellroy announce Designer Edition will not be restock). It is really good quality but pricey due to Designers Edition.

I am selling Bellroy Slim Sleeve and Note Sleeve, Onestarleather CXL 6 Pocket Vertical Leather Wallet in Carousel if you interested.

Still waiting for Kisestsu Kaizen shipping.
Still waiting for STR handmade from Lithuania.

And I would like to bring rare wallet to Malaysia if there are collectors and fans here in Malaysia.

Maybe Kamino wallet from Japan, Stirk wallet from Canada and Lejiled wallet from France will coming in.

I am a walletopian, collector and fans of functional wallet.
Please follow up Walletopia Review by Mark if you can.
Rarest and functional wallet is reviewed.

After all this year using wallets, I have come to a conclusion that good wallets is not necessarily come from well known brands. And I am more favor to handmade wallets this days. Following walletopia is one way to know wallets all over the world.

For me consistent and good handmade product is a luxury item. It is thoughtful products by the designer themselves from material selection and functions.

Im currently using a marbled shell cordovan wallet from Ashland Leather. Quality is great and it comes with a lifetime warranty. It gets better with age. The video shows the condition of the wallet after 8 years of use. I doubt any mainstream luxury brand can last that long

wanted to get shell cordovan for my port wallet as well but looking at the price, I might as well buy 2 of the natural chromexcel that probably last me for a lifetime as well besides having a LV cardholder for special occasion. Maybe someday I'll pull the trigger on the shell cordovan leather wallet.

Ashland leather also is as good as Craft & Leather + Onestar leather good brand.
I also prefer natural chromexcel due to Shell Cordovan price really high.
Nomad did some promotion for their nomad wallet shell cordovan due to its anniversary few months back.
The price is affordable, but I let it pass for onestar leather good 6 pocket vertical wallet

I have used Kisetsu Kaizen previously and satisfied with it.
The Size is minimal and functional wallet.
Lots of interesting feature.

Search for it in Lowyat Garage Sale.
