nope, i tweak all the best settings already same like previous phone, Always on feature turned off, bluetooth nearby scanning off, nfc off, sync off, weather forecast off, gps off, in battery setting all apps set to always sleep, advanced features all off except the palm swipe to snap screen shot only turned on, bixby off everything disabled in system apps include voice command....... still S7 edge battery beats out of it anytime hahaha. perhaps it's the 3600mah battery capacity and smaller screen size plus nougat. the funniest thing is i past the s7 edge to my mum use, and for 7 days already she didn't charge the phone and still left 28% lol! but she no use internet or wifi anything la just normal calls only..

Anyone noticed that not all notifications come through? Like Instagram, some shows, some doesn't. Might be the same for FB, whatsapp etc

Anyone else having battery issues with the exynos s9, anandtech posted an article on how exynos s9 variants face poor battery life as compared to snapdragon variant.
S9 battery goes down pretty fast even with normal nonheavy usage and Samsung did post an official statement saying there's nothing wrong with it... would like to hear some user's experiences on this.

For me, my phone can last for 2 days after full charge. Consider a light user? Mostly on FB, Insta, WA, Bixby, sPay and browsing.
Hardly play games, only when Im bored(PUBG). Setting wise, I turned off my A.O.D and some other minor things that I cant remember. got those methods from Youtube tho..
But all in all I think depends how the user uses it.

For the past 2 days I noticed my battery is draining very quickly( 100% to 95% in less than 30min) and the phone is getting hot even if not being used. I noticed that Media.Extractor and mediaserver is using up most of the battery. What is that and how do I stop those 2 apps? I've checked online and its something to do with chrome but I have not used chrome as its disabled.

Disappointed with this phone. In the 3rd week of usage, and countless times a few apps keep crashing on me. And the phone has hanged a few times. Press power button or swipe screen does nothing. Need to wait 1 min or so for error msg to come out..

Sorry, 6gb ram is bullshit. Not optimised at all. Every now and then can feel the lag on this phone.

Dont tell me user problem etc. I have used my old phone and never had this much lag within the first month.

Sorry, this is a damn overrated phone.

For example, this is one of the crashes that happen frequently. There are a few other apps that crash randomly.



Besides this, i have had whatsapp, youtube, facebook all crash suddenly with this message.

Real fked up phone. Regret buy this shit phone.

You can go through Gallery and see if you have any video or picture that's not showing up or corrupted. That's the only reason why media server will keep running and draining battery.

hi all, can I use normal charger to charge my s9 ? or must use fast charger ? will normal charger spoil the battery ?

Did you restore from your previous phone using google? People have reported similar issues after restoring from their old phone. Wiping out the phone start fresh again solved the issue.
