QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Apr 23 2018, 12:28 AM) Not sure what's with their internal affairs but last year she was unable to get S8. When she finally got it, Q10 had better offer. Somehow this year had a surprise. It wouldn't hurt that much anymore if planning to sell to upgrade to S10. No idea whats going on inside.. hahahQUOTE(andrekua2 @ Apr 23 2018, 12:31 AM) It seem like the speaker works better with portrait mode. Seem like the bottom firing didn't work that well when landscape mode. Still need to cup the bottom speaker for fuller sound. top speaker is pretty loud compared to bottom one for me too... |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 23 2018, 02:18 PM) Battery life seriously below my expectations, ha ha. Other than that it's not that different from S8+ in terms of form and features, but it's as smooth as the Note 8. My mistake buying it - dunno why I thought it would be any different I unplugged my phone from my charger this morning at 6am and it dropped to 86% at around 9am. (with AOD and some other stuffs on like normal)Then I disabled some of the settings, AOD off and put it MID Power saver around 10am until now, I'm left with 49%. Didnt play much with the tho... got FB, WA and Insta but not so often... Comparing with my 6s+, usually when Im in office and around this hour(7ish), my phone would have about 60%-70%(when I didnt touch the phone). But skali when I start using my phone, the batt will drain pretty fast.. Consider ok? |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 23 2018, 10:09 PM) It’s hard to say, your 6S Plus battery could have some wear and tear especially if it’s more than a year old. Anyway, when I was using the S9+, I would unplug my charger at 100% at about 10.30 or 11.00pm, turn off mobile data and switch on Max Power Saving, which will get me up to about 6am the next day with about 98% battery remaining (if I don’t turn off mobile data and put it to max power saving mode, I’d get about 93% on the next day, which is still fairly acceptable). By 7pm or so, after about 20-odd hours of standby and 3 hours or so of SOT, I’d have about 40% battery life remaining. As a comparison I would have additional 10-15% on my previous S8+, but the overall experience on the S9+ is far more polished. Oh yea, true also, my phone already 6s+ already 2 years plus.. I’ve been getting a number of PMs today asking me if the S9+ is a bad phone, considering I sold it off in less than two weeks of owning it (and just slightly over a week of using it). It’s not. On the contrary, it’s a very good phone. It’s what the S8+ should have been. I’ll be honest though, I find it hard to recommend it (especially at RRP) over a Note 8 which is pretty good value for 2.7-2.8k in the used market. Oh, and I just like to try phones. It’s a bad habit. But so long still can serve me through the day, I guess it's fine with me.. just that pretty disappointed with Samsung Pay, where non of my cards are supported. my Maybank Debit card is Mastercard whereas my Credit Card is UOB Visa. None can use... and yes, trying out phones is a bad habit! Back in the days before smartphone(my schooling days), I used to change phone yearly... |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 24 2018, 08:03 AM) Haha, is OK la, can apply for other credit cards - those agents at the mall will be more than happy to look for you Haha... it's okay... Dont need so many cards... cant afford so many cards.. Anyways, do enjoy your phone! QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Apr 24 2018, 08:26 AM) Nothing to disappont since u choose cards that not supported while most common visa cards are supported. Well I got my card before my phone, so it's not really I purposely choose a card that doesnt support You can change your maybank debit MasterCard to visa for free but instead you complaint not supported. Back then there many choice to choose from these days phone progress is starting to stagnant like hua wei p20 pro even their marketed camera does not impress the world beside that every phone in the market are quite close in features And I've just checked at Maybank, there's a fee of RM12 for card change.. it's not free tho.. QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Apr 24 2018, 03:27 PM) That is replace card. I followed my friend to change one. He got a MasterCard he went tell the staff i want use samsung pay but card not supported can change to visa they swap immediately Yeah, I told the staff there the same thing, they said need to pay RM12. They consider it as card replacement even the card is not faulty.. Anyway, small matter, changed and got it done. Matter of finding some cheap spending to try on.. |

Discovered something new or maybe not so new (possible applied to phones that supports Gear 360).
I've got several 360 photos and 360 videos taken from my Ricoh Theta and was transferred from iphone to s9+ and it works well in Gallery. Back on the iPhone, it was a flat photo, needed 360 app to view it and now I dont have to open the 360 App to view it. |

QUOTE(RoyRF @ Apr 25 2018, 11:41 AM) hi there, so it means to say that 4gb on s8+ vs 6gb on s9+ will have significant better user experience on the latter? another s9+ user said that the new exynos 9810 chip is more meant for photography enhancement. but, out of curiosity as an s8+ user of 8895 chipset, i was wondering whether the newer chipset will have better battery life.. like example, i use heavy whatsapp, telegram, gmail, yahoo, heavy calls in one day, the battery on s8+ left 17-20% by 6pm cos i thought at least at 3500mah, can last 1 half day or so.. another thing about s8+ battery is that when fully charged before going to sleep, by next morning, the battery is left with 92-93%..i dunno whether it is normal or not cos it sipped the battery quite high even on idling / sleep mode.. QUOTE(attw @ Apr 25 2018, 04:12 PM) I concur with Sniper, battery life is different for each user based on usage patterns, apps installed, etc. But I would say that with my same apps and usage style I got more out of the S8+ compared to the S9+. Yeah agree, battery life is really depends on how user use it and how they set their setting. Like mine, lasted more than 24 hours, since I last unplugged my phone on Tues morning at 4am and now I'm left with 29%.I have FB, WA, Insta, Gmail, Mail and some other stuffs running background. But I usually close all before I lock my screen and notifications still coming in. |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Apr 26 2018, 01:02 PM) Your screen drain quite a lot batt.. but then again, my phone were left on table most of the time as I dont really have time to play around with it yet... probably next week onwards my batt might drain faster as my work should be a bit free, more time to play with the phone.. QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Apr 26 2018, 01:32 PM) Nicest to hold is still ringke fusion imo UAG is nice also but TBH I find the quality lacking abit. Design/function wise its great but the molding lines on the bumper part is so rough... doesn't reflect on its price lor. but no doubt, its very nice to hold on to,. |
