Not sure what's with their internal affairs but last year she was unable to get S8. When she finally got it, Q10 had better offer. Somehow this year had a surprise. It wouldn't hurt that much anymore if planning to sell to upgrade to S10.

It seem like the speaker works better with portrait mode. Seem like the bottom firing didn't work that well when landscape mode. Still need to cup the bottom speaker for fuller sound.

Some of us are partly deaf... I had it at 100%. I wouldn't mind if it could go slightly louder still.

Battery life seriously below my expectations, ha ha. Other than that it's not that different from S8+ in terms of form and features, but it's as smooth as the Note 8. My mistake buying it - dunno why I thought it would be any different

Uhhhh... fb... the biggest drag on battery life.

I haven't use fb for years. I'm using Metal Pro. Less polished compared to fb, but no battery drain when not using.

It’s hard to say, your 6S Plus battery could have some wear and tear especially if it’s more than a year old. Anyway, when I was using the S9+, I would unplug my charger at 100% at about 10.30 or 11.00pm, turn off mobile data and switch on Max Power Saving, which will get me up to about 6am the next day with about 98% battery remaining (if I don’t turn off mobile data and put it to max power saving mode, I’d get about 93% on the next day, which is still fairly acceptable). By 7pm or so, after about 20-odd hours of standby and 3 hours or so of SOT, I’d have about 40% battery life remaining. As a comparison I would have additional 10-15% on my previous S8+, but the overall experience on the S9+ is far more polished.

I’ve been getting a number of PMs today asking me if the S9+ is a bad phone, considering I sold it off in less than two weeks of owning it (and just slightly over a week of using it). It’s not. On the contrary, it’s a very good phone. It’s what the S8+ should have been. I’ll be honest though, I find it hard to recommend it (especially at RRP) over a Note 8 which is pretty good value for 2.7-2.8k in the used market.

Oh, and I just like to try phones. It’s a bad habit.

Nothing to disappont since u choose cards that not supported while most common visa cards are supported.

You can change your maybank debit MasterCard to visa for free but instead you complaint not supported.

Back then there many choice to choose from these days phone progress is starting to stagnant like hua wei p20 pro even their marketed camera does not impress the world beside that every phone in the market are quite close in features

That is replace card. I followed my friend to change one. He got a MasterCard he went tell the staff i want use samsung pay but card not supported can change to visa they swap immediately

hi there, so it means to say that 4gb on s8+ vs 6gb on s9+ will have significant better user experience on the latter? another s9+ user said that the new exynos 9810 chip is more meant for photography enhancement. but, out of curiosity as an s8+ user of 8895 chipset, i was wondering whether the newer chipset will have better battery life.. like example, i use heavy whatsapp, telegram, gmail, yahoo, heavy calls in one day, the battery on s8+ left 17-20% by 6pm cos i thought at least at 3500mah, can last 1 half day or so.. another thing about s8+ battery is that when fully charged before going to sleep, by next morning, the battery is left with 92-93%..i dunno whether it is normal or not cos it sipped the battery quite high even on idling / sleep mode..

I concur with Sniper, battery life is different for each user based on usage patterns, apps installed, etc. But I would say that with my same apps and usage style I got more out of the S8+ compared to the S9+.

UAG is nice also but TBH I find the quality lacking abit.

Design/function wise its great but the molding lines on the bumper part is so rough... doesn't reflect on its price lor.
