so i assume kk2 is better? coz mathematically is 2 person in a room?

You just need to bring pails and pc. Usually they will provide the 1 kettle and 1 iron per house. Table, fan and cabinet will be provided.
And I don't think they will let you cook in the hostel. Don't worry about the price of the food, they are quite cheap.


PS:/ I thought gerbang perdana is for 2nd year and above. Correct me if I'm wrong.

gerbang perdana means kk2???? kk1 is only my option?

now kk2 is open for new intake students because kk1 is open for girls ed. c13,14,15 will b for girls and guys oni can take c10 n c9. so most of the new intake will go for kk2. no matter where u stay or how many ppl in the room, u need to pay rm 450 plus. in kk2 each room is different depends which room u take. regarding bout the fees, u need to pay it b4 u come to tis uni. u will receive a book regarding bout tis uni. remember, on the 1st day, they WONT RECEIVE ANY CASH TERM!! so dont bring cash to pay fees.. pay it b4 u come to the uni. when the 1st day u arrive here, u need show them ur receipt oni. if i not mistaken, total around rm1700.

things u need to bring is - pail, pillow, bolster, bed sheet, formal shirt (3pieces would b the best), slack, tie, maggi and snack ( u can buy here but expensive a bit), bring extra fan if u think u need it or mayb u can buy it at kuantan, laptop or pc, black leather shoe and bla bla..

wat is provided in the room - mattress, table, chair, cupboard.
we are not allow to cook at all in the uni no matter in ur room or outside ur room but WE CAN STEAL STEAL COOK in the room. dat wat i alwiz did. haha.. we cook maggi, pork, eggs, steamboat and many more. when u come here, u can ask ur roommates our housemates to share to buy a multi rice cooker to cook la. it cost around rm100 oni.
we have washing machine, so don worry but normally a lot ppl will use. i never use it and i just wash it wit my hands oni. easy and fast. haha..

Ok, u need to go to Gambang UMP cos pekan is oni for classes.
when u reach here on the 1st day of orientation, don worry cos there will b Pak Guard and many fasi to help u or direct u. u can see a lot of ppl so i m sure u wont lost. u know how to go gambang? after the tol, there is a turn and u should turn to UMP that is on ur left side, there will b sign board too.

yes, go for a medical check up b4 u come here.. if i not mistaken, it will b x ray and ur health check up. btw, if u go for gov hospital, x ray took 1months to process and if go private hospital or clinic took around 1 or 2days oni. b4 u come, open an acc in Bank Islam cos here oni use tis bank and ptptn will send the $ to Bank Islam oni. b4 come, have a hair cut n don dye ur hair cos u have to take pic for ur Matric card. so u coming alone or do u have friends that get into UMP also??

haha i coming alone.... my father will accompany me though... i saw the rules and regulations... for the medical check up.. it is written that... need to be done in hospital/clinic kerajaan though

oh.. yes, u need to check up b4 come wit the report.
btw, u stay at KL which part? here really no entertainment for u wan ma.. oni CAFE for u sit down n talk wit friends oni. after 12am u cant go out from the uni ed.. ^^

nearby kl sentral....... (to be exact brickfields if you know where is it) hahahaha....

so gambang is like hostel only? i tot other classes like soft skills, math, english except mechanical classes is carried out in gambang????

all i know is pekan is for mechanical related classes since the faculty is shifting there?

i also not very sure wit it cos i also follow wat ppl said. i m not from ur faculty too. but wat i know is Class regarding wit mechanical will b at Pekan, all those minor subjects will b at Gambang. temporary for tis sem, u will stay at Gambang hostel. 2nd sem, u will totaly shift to Pekan where u study, sleep and eat at there. If the HOSTEL FINISH BUILD la. haha.. ntg to worry so much bout shifting, UMP provide u bus to Pekan.
btw, i wan ask u something.. if from gombak go KL SENTRAL, i shall take LRT? UIAM Gombak near to the train station?

yes, you can take lrt from gombak to kl sentral....
regarding ur 2nd question...... i dunno whether UIAM gombak is near to train station or not..... sorry cant help you

I heard UMP is also a good place to further your studies.

oh is ok chee, 10q cos i m goin gombak for Hockey tournament tis 12 mei until 20th so wan to know how to go back to kl central. now im stil in uni alone, i have a suggestion for u. y don either 2mrw or sunday u come over UMP to have a look? it takes around 2hours if u frm KL. u can see around the environment and the facilities.

lilly, anything i can help u? if u wan to know more bout UMP, u can go to www.ump.edu.my or u read back my previous msg. many ppl doesnt choose ump because they dont even know whether UMP WUJUD also.

about the hostel fees.. it is included in my fees right.. under the "yuran penginapan" ... so i juz take the bank slip and show the hostel can already right?

anyway this sunday, i going GH to do medical check up haha..

orientation last for a week if i m not wrong. Good Luck for that whole week. the few days b4 i come to ump for the orientation i had been sick and high fewer til i unable to walk because no energy. when i register, i m recover a bit but still half dead. haha.. u need to go through a lot of department b4 u go to ur hostel. mid 9 they like to wake u up by banging the doors and ask u BANGUN BANGUN.. dat time around 4 to 5am. keep slamming the door and ask u bangun to beratur.
ok, ur course fees and hostel fees is different. but the total u need to pay is rm 1k plus la. dat wan included 1 sem fees and hostel. once u pay, u don need pay again until next sem. when u register that time, they will ask u for bank slip then ok already. easy.

i think u only need to pay RM 1265...
bcos the hostel fee=yuran penginapan already included when u pay RM1265

by the way....i think there should be a bank in slip with the amount u should pay already printed on it, included in the offer letter....

the total u need to pay is rm 1265. YURAN PENGINAPAN = HOSTEL FEES loh.. got different meh? ur hostel fees already included in the JUMLAH KESELURUHAN ed. don worry.
