hi, i got offered to study mechanical engineering here (diploma)... 3 years.....erm i read the whole thread,
-so i assume there is no hostel in pekan??
-are they even thinking of building hostel there?
-and there is only bus at 6am and 6pm to and fro gambang/pekan?
-when will the diploma intake be?
i am from kl.... i have lots of questions to enquire......... still in dilemma whether to take this offer or do form 6....

yes i am a chinese...... i put chemical engineering as my 1st choice for my upu.. and mechanical engineering in UMP as my 7th choice... haha who knows government.. gave me the 7th choice...and i didnt get my matric, UTP.... and i am not planning to go for private... so i only left this option or going to form 6....

oh yeah... about the syllabus..... science(related to mechanical)... is it english or malay? will it be teached in english?is the exam in english?

oic... thx for enlightening me, guys..... so i assume the books are also in english right? i scared i cannot adapt there haha... since u all said. no entertainment......

for the standard room... quad sharing means 4 person sharing? is that means rm 455 divide by 4 or.... rm455 per person?

-For the fees, hostel, tuition fees, registration fees and all that, is it compulsory to pay on the 1st day when i arrive there?
-What should i bring???? (for the hostel) iron? pails? fan? table? chair? pc? (i think it is a must)
-Any cooking utensils there? (in the hostel)

-go for medical check up....

haha i coming alone.... my father will accompany me though... i saw the rules and regulations... for the medical check up.. it is written that... need to be done in hospital/clinic kerajaan though

nearby kl sentral....... (to be exact brickfields if you know where is it) hahahaha....

so gambang is like hostel only? i tot other classes like soft skills, math, english except mechanical classes is carried out in gambang????

all i know is pekan is for mechanical related classes since the faculty is shifting there?

yes, you can take lrt from gombak to kl sentral....
regarding ur 2nd question...... i dunno whether UIAM gombak is near to train station or not..... sorry cant help you
