How long it take for LCD TV to drop their price?

Sorry if I post on the wrong place. I went shopping today & I saw Samsung 32" LCD TV drop their price from original price RM3,999 to RM3,299 at Sen-Q while RM3,800 at Carrefour.

I were refering to the model Samsung LA32S81B, my guess was the 1 that I friends bought it last month base on the design. I think he bought it for RM3,999 as the original price.
And yes! Sen-Q sell for RM3,299 for their member only. Non-member have to pay original price. |

if you want to buy LCD TV, go for Panasonic LCD Viera, the new one got 2 HDMI and even S-video. It is 26 inch and just nice for your room.

The time is just right for LCD TV manufacturers to reap the profit now as i am certain they have already reach 100% yield. With the old price in effect, they are bound to make zillions.
So dun expect for the dust to settle too soon. If u are looking for cheap deals, buy a LCD monitor. |

I was at singapore few weeks back, when i saw this advertisement saying that all LCD and electrical products will be at 50% off. imagine 40" lcd selling for $1299 and 37" lcd from sharp at $999. HAHA when i went there, they told me that this is only applicable if you are able to guess the upcoming TOTO 1st digit no for the 1st prize number. I was like...what the Fxxx, chances of me getting the correct figure is just 10%. Seriously now adays marketing trick has change alot.

Courts is selling a capalang brand 32" LCD for around RM1799 only! (or is it RM1899? or RM1699? can't remember...) even thou it's a capalang brand, but check out the specs: 1366x769 resolution, 1200:1, and 2 x HDMI input I'll say it's quite a bargain for a 32" LCD TV |

i bought samsung r7 32" lcd tv price at hsl denki midveli at rm2999..

Arghhh.... feel frust la today. Went to SenQ and search for 32 R7, the seller said already out of stock... haiyooo... change of plan and lastly I pick R8 but sadly my credit card decline when I swap it... very down la today. Malay said "kempunan" la... so, no new LCDtv la for me today....

Got my LCD 32" (Rm1950) and 42" (5k) Got HDMI 1366*768. I heard the salesman said the panel is from LG, Samsung. N PCB is from same sourcing as the japanese, koreans brand. But, to be honest, Nvr disappoint with it. Heheee..

Yesterday my friends and I went to BEST DENKI. We saw a good LG LCD TV 26 inch with 2 HDMI for RM2700 only with free DVD player I think

last month i purchased for myself Toshiba REGZA 37 inch for only RM3750.toshiba has a great value for quality.it has very good review if u rajin to search it over the internet.i sempat guna for my 360 for two weeks before my 360 got 3 rod demam.my regza comes with 1 year all risk insurance inc kena curi,bakar,ligtening and so on..the only drawback is,it only has one HDMI.but enuff la.utk PS3(mggu depan nak beli)

can't wait anymore. everything left behind in malaya. so now need urgently to get one for TV, astro, PS2 and PC. will get phillips TA1600 coz manage to get it at RM2299 plus free DVD. easy to carry when go back to malaya later. sony KLV32S200A is RM3299! thought of just getting cheaper 29" or 34" but 50kg++. cannot carry meh when go back later. hope it is worth the money spend.

1080i is not a resolution, but a signal format .....the panel has full 1080 vertical lines/dots but only 1024 oblong horizontal colums/pixels/dots

just mu suggection...unpacked the box...put the ps3 in your bag pack....fold the box if u want to bring it back....make sure u travel back through second link on weekedays...preferable between 10am-4pm....but the most recommended hour is during lunch hour..DO NOT travel back after 5pm (after office hour)...and bring your mouse along too..if the custom stop u..say its your modding PC....oppss...as an add on..stick several sticker too.....and put malaysian flag inside the bag....

for a back up, ask the shop to issue u a bill for repairing the ps3 u drive msia or sg car? try to come back during the evening rush hour, shudnt be a problem gd lark |

LOL, last time i bought the LOTR Frodo's Sting Sword from s'pore and cross border after 9pm. The kastam guy is still there but didn't even bother to check the content of the box. He just ask... "Ada apa dlm kotak besar ni?". I said... "Pedang mainan utk koleksi je". Then he just said... "Ooooo... ok", and let me pass just like that. yeah, i alwiz flat out all the box (company item). .Btw, i'm driving mesia car.* redbull bro, pc item don't have to worry la. no tax one.i alredi bring in casing,printer,lcd monitor etc. but to bad lcd price moniotr in Singapore not so cheap.price almost same like mesia. and i agreed with silencer and rx330 that before 5 pm is the best. Indeed i believe 12pm to 1pm is the best time coz during this period they went for lunch.Usually no kastam at all. |

I seen a lot of 37 inchers from unknown brand selling cheap here. Most of these in actual fact is built using Samsung LCDs and some of em with Samsung bracket/shell and rebadged em as theirs.I think what happen was Samsung built a 37 size and dont think that its good enough for their lines and selling em wholesale to these companies.

Yesterday, I went to a warehouse sales at TFT-Malaysia (Bayan Lepas, Penang area). They are selling a few 32" models starting from RM1,399. What tempted me is that 42" Full-HD selling at RM3599 !!

Currently there's a Bravia Road Show there... pricing quite interesting.
I just got myself a LCD TV from Sony Style, The Curve. Sony 32" S400 (BE2 with 3 HDMI ports, free HDMI Cable, Remote Holder) = RM2,499. Free trolley if you "cash(credit card) and carry" on the spot. |

Is this a good time to buy LCD tv? Yesterday I saw Sony Bravia S (i think an old model) series at RM2099 and LG at RM1999.

@phoenix: Sony just launched the new models, maybe that one will be better for people like Gamers Familia since he's buying later.
Go for it lah dude. No need to wait, later all the models come out and the old ones get phased out. |

I also didn't know about the 5% discount coz they didn't put any tags of promotion whatsoever at the display, only after they are writing the sales invoice did the sales guy told me they have 5% discount for it. Probably it's due to the Jusco Sale they have right now.

i was surveying like crazy the past weeks until i found that the best deals was right in front me at Jusco . Sony shop which is just a couple of walks away was selling the same model at no discount price.The RM2099 ones I mentioned yesterday was finished already at sony... |

Looking at Phoenix's, i will say that it is the new Sony models (the 400's). The edge is abit curved, rather than the old models that we sharper. This one looks sweet. really.

Does any of you hear that, LCD TV or basically electronic products are going to increase the price by 20% starting 1st July 2008? Appreciate your input on this ? Plan to get a LCD TV by these few days if really going to increase the price. |

I believe most of our LCD come with HD tuner. Mine does. BUt after 3 years owning it and no freaking HD signal, the TV barely serves its value.

urm...i tink buying a monitor is not an option.
i read from other threads that astro doesn't look good on lcd. now i'm wondering if i can simply get a lcd tv n get at least normal looking astro on it by just switching it on n doin a lil bit calibrating only. for a non-technical person like me, its rather confusing seeing terms like s-cable etc. but i guess i'm on a wrong thread anyways to ask abt this. |
