last time i saw Colorful website, apart from Colorful 8600GT UE, they also came out with 8600GTS, i was like wtf
the UE is actually a GTS, the attractive is its price point which is on par with regular 86GT. Galaxy GT OC cant match this UE, and it can't OC properly because it has reached its limit for not having external PCI-e power supply |

QUOTE(rsangel @ Aug 9 2007, 10:15 AM) 8600GT isnt suitable for silent heat pipe lahsilent heat pipe cards isn't suitable for heavy gaming cards actually, for those simpler cards like 7100gs, 8400gs or 8500gt then silent pipe is ok, but not for 8600gt and above, where people will use them more on gaming. |

that 8600GT UE is actually consider cheap liao
back in may i bought the galaxy OC ed. at rm530 then sell it at rm 430 in june now the new one merely sold from rm460 but one thing is unfair now, why 8600 GTS and above don;t suffer from major price drop ? 8800GTS still rm1k + |

but will the 8600 UE to outperform 7900GS/X1950Pro in most dx9 games? Thats the thing i want to know the most, although 3dmarks score is favor to 8600, but that doesn't mean its superior than 7900s in gaming
as for dx10 games, heck everything is so speculated |

QUOTE(Phoenixwunin @ Aug 13 2007, 01:41 AM) Eh guys... the difference gap between 8800GTS and 8800GTX. Is it big?? Suddenly I got some naughty idea to change my GTS to GTX. Do you guys think its worth it?? seriously changine from GTS to GTX now isn't a wise move, (unless u re really really loaded lor expect 2nd gen batch of nvidia 8900 or 9xxx series to be out later in the year, with probably dx10.1 support. GTS is overkill enough for most of the dx9 games on the market, furthermore ur gaming resolution which is 22" can be handled perfectly by just 320MB already |
