I suppose kena batu is one of the risk associated with sunroof. But I do prefer this sunroof. I honestly understand the reasons of not wanting it but in life.... there are ppl who do wish for such things. I can also bet there are ppl who wish to not have tpms, cause for 50 years of driving didn’t have one, no need nappa cause can save few more thousand, straight up just have 1.8 without turbo too..... save some”hassle” of “maintaining the complicated turbo”.

Proton is changing the impression of cheap car. Low quality. No QC. They need to start first. If they are able to sell out 100k cars. I believe consumer is morr acceptable on the lower price car. X50 at 80k or x30 at 60k price. Its about marketing strategy. Improve from the top.

Manage to do test drive on the premier spec. Impressive . For me a an vy advance car . Too bad the seller said no offer . No discount . Interest rate 2.35 for 7 years 90k.

Price wise I foresee it have very slightly reduction, but cover up with additional features etc. For 70k-90k is too much reduction, maybe that fall for x50 price region?

Rm100k is reasonable for suv except fuel consumption.

to be fair proton car also got shoot with tax by gomen, plus need to get MITI for approval. so potential owner hoping the car to be at 70-80k is too much for that car spec & features. Remember proton current gen perdana which is based on previous version accord also sold at 138k for 2.4 unit.

an old version based car, with only adding new china made HU. rest is same, except the cosmetic, also at that price.

so to assume x70 spec & features at current price is acceptable imo. or better wait for CKD with next version of 1.5T 3 Cylinder engine?

Well, they based it on geely Boyle price of rmb120k but I don't know what taxes for number plate etc...total otr price in china.

My friend say otr 160k rmb.....so max out rm90k? Right hand drive conversion plus tax rm30k?

Just to update, I called their centre and manage to talk to the manager. He said to Whatsapp him so I did and asked him to kindly reply my email for acknowledment. Let's see if he does or his attitude the same as the salesperson i dealt with.

saw youtube review on 1.5T 3 cylinders engine, the vibration is noticeable on low rpm. so that is some drawback of it but with better fc vs 1.8T

i dont mind as long as full of active safety systems and LKAS

On paper it may seem that way but if you looks at the comparison by paulbo tan and even real life look it would seem that the x70 boot is much smaller

Hi X70 owners, does Android Auto work with this car? Can it load Waze using Android Auto?

I went to see the car the other day, the SA told me it can load Waze by Android Auto. But afterward I read the car review and not even one say Waze nor Android Auto can be run, but all is Oct/Nov review so I don't know if now Proton have updated the software.

If it can't, how about using screen mirroring function to show Waze? Or it's too laggy to be usable?

That's a big turn off. If Geely want to force people using their built in map, likely will never see Android Auto.

I think depends on case for phone connect to radio since this suppose to be a function of the radio.

I check the photo for it's power windows button, even the most basic spec have same marking which I guess means have auto UP & Down
