*
Yeah lol, this thread I realize a lot of hate comments and none of em are P20 Pro users. cool2.gif

For SP, I'm looking into this currently: https://shopee.com.my/X.One%C2%AE-X-One-Ext...3611.1040755551

But P20 Pro out of stock. Only P20 has stock.

is X-One really good? actually i found a shop in Penang that offer this SP for P20.. but they said it's not full screen covered.. and the feel is like a soft thin tpu..

shopee is going for RM45 only while mobile shop here is offer at rm79..
*
Oh, yeah it's the new SP that won't crack.
Just checking it out because if you bought Xiaomi phone the store will recommend this type of SP.

Sharing an impossible handheld shot. Anyone who been here knows how dark it is at 10 PM. Don't think even DSLR can do this without tripod.

night shot really can adjust the exposure and present it in really well exposure..
*
Don't think it's possible unless your sensor has wide dynamic range band like those available in modern DSLRs. Even increasing EV compensation will lower down your shutter speed in live view and doing so will only yield you blurry images.

Great shot but with so much light most flagship can capture as good or better than this.

Go challenge yourself capture moon and stars most phones struggles or capture view with only street light from a distance from 500m from the nearest light.
*
So much light? The photo looks bright because of 4 secs exposure. In reality it ain't that bright.

QUOTE(huiyooh @ Apr 17 2018, 01:28 PM)
p20 don't have night mode right?
I'm using auto mode with flash
*
There is night mode I think. Try going to More > Night Mode.

My point the sign lights are consider lights and with so many it will be sufficient.

If a distance of 500m to the nearest light and it will requires longer exposure and stability to get better photo

No worries, your phone is better than P20 Pro. That's all I can say. smile.gif

So what casing you guys got for your phone?

I come across these few nice designs that I like:

And this glass casing seems interesting

Hi all

Can comment  - P20 pro vs Pixel Xl 2?

I recently sold off my S8+ because I beh tahan the occasional stuttering and lagginess in my daily usage. Specs / camera all is one thing but the user software experience is more important for me in the end.
I'm now using the Mi A1 and loving the stock android experience. Everything is just so smooth. It just works. Only drawback is the camera as it's understandable due to it being a budget phone still.
So now considering the above 2 phones mainly due to their flagship gooding cameras.
How is the software experience for EMUI? Smooth / user friendly?

Some pro and cons comments are welcome. Thanks.
*
If you really value the software experience then nothing really beats the Pixel 2. The phone has decent camera, Android by Google and more. I believe you won't go wrong with Pixel 2. But beware Pixel 3 is coming soon in the next 6 months.

Now speaking of the photography, I think everybody expects too much of this smartphone's (P20)capability. This camera is not a game changer (not among photography world) and certainly will not replace dedicated camera with bigger sensor. It's a good camera that is around you but if your job depends on it then better get dedicated camera.

But I'm happy as it is to supplement my existing hobby photography needs. It's good for anything social media or web use, or even small prints. Perfect for vacation shoots.

Just got my p20 pro updated to latest revision 107 a couple of minutes ago.

I'm wondering does anyone know whether a changelog for EMUI update? .

EMUI update is a little strange for me(coming from pure Android) since it only prompts you to install the update or delay them without any mention of the features changed or bugs fixed.

Anyway the screen transition seems snappier and scrolling much smoother now besides the updates to enable higher iso for the camera after the update.
Thanks.
*
You update through OTA? I just checked mine on 106 still no update available..

The standby rate is very good

Sleep at 12am in 100% wake up still 100%, really impressed

Now at 88% with 1 hour sot without any effort on power saving, really nice even for smaller p20

Lai share some photos of P20's camera. I heard is quite capable shooter also thumbsup.gif

How are you liking the camera so far? considering changing from a Pixel 2 XL
*
I love it. But if I were you I'll hold on the horses because the camera review seems on par between Pixel 2 XL and P20 Pro. Some Pixel 2 better, some P20 Pro better. The differences are marginal. But for sure one of the best thing is the night shot mode.

If I were I wait for Pixel 3. smile.gif
(Even I'm thinking to change if the differences is a lot)

It's a pity Pixels aren't officially available here though. I still have reservations about buying an unofficially imported phone, especially with the prices above 3k

Yah that's the downside but good news is Google has open a store in Singapore so if you want to get through official channel, it's just a bus ride/plane away laugh.gif
