QUOTE(MolarOla @ Apr 20 2018, 04:04 PM) I find that my data connection is severed when my screen is off, it takes some time to reconnect to the internet when I wake the phone up. This causes delay in receiving WhatsApp messages. Any1 facing the same problem here? I'm using p20 and ookyo I don't face such issue. Always receive WhatsApp message and images in real time. P20 Pro user.

QUOTE(nickchk89 @ Apr 21 2018, 10:07 PM) Erm i dont have got any worthy shoot, but got one p20 user also post Here are my lil contribution, dont think its good place Auto vs night mode Night mode shot seems better Ok now I think I know why people keep saying they zoom in my photos and pixelated You not suppose to zoom in 800 x 600 I also found out you can download extra modes in More. I tried this new mode called "Good Food". Not bad it lights up the food. However it may sometime overcompensate on EV value. Here's one I shot today: Those who want to pixel peep here is the larger photo: https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/923/397927287...b183a2d97_k.jpg

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Apr 21 2018, 11:39 PM) Hmm.. actually auto mode is quite instant one la. Sometimes will prompt to steady the device and perform sharpening. It's controlled by device automatically, no option one. Night shot may need to hold for few seconds. Usually 4 seconds.. will recommend to use this for lowlight or backlight scenarios. It can adjust exposure and give u overall best exposure automatically.. I don't like to shoot with the night mode on. I think the over processing is too much. If I ever need to shoot at extreme situation, I prefer to go Pro mode and shoot, save as RAW then recover the highlights via Lightroom.

Lol so many debate on which phone is the best. Just buy and use la, even if buy best phone another 2-3 months will be best by another phone. This is tech where everything will bound to be obsolete fast. You got moolah can chase tech, no moolah better guai guai buy phone that suits you and use for 1-2 years.
For me is all about camera. So I bought P20 Pro. If not because my S6 lags I also won't buy P20 Pro. I can shoot with both camera, put both photos here and none of you can differentiate which is taken by S6/P20. All depends on who's behind the camera. Hehe

QUOTE(SonnyCooL @ Apr 22 2018, 11:00 AM) not only who behind camera, also who infront of screen aka why zoom in so blur ? That's why I say cannot differentiate because if don't know the basics of zoom vs resolution, how to tell which phone take which photo I also when I see these comments. Continue to laugh till today. Haha

QUOTE(Wildcat @ Apr 22 2018, 06:45 PM) "Huawei uses its own form of background power management and doesn't allow notification actions from the lockscreen - little things that just kind of irk me" https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/03/27/hu...-apple-samsung/Is this true P20 pro owners? No notifications on lockscreen? Got notifications but can't see the contents. Like WhatsApp the lockscreen will display WhatsApp logo and X amount of new messages, but to read need to face unlock or fingerprint/pin.

QUOTE(Wildcat @ Apr 22 2018, 07:50 PM) OK thanks So use to ios's raise to wake or other androids lockscreen notifications. For instance like you request a sms TAC via the pc you can just glance at your phone once the message arrived on the lockscreen without unlocking the phone. Yup that is a little inconvenience if you're shifting from Samsung phone but I kind of like this implementation better. This way nobody can read my messages.

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Apr 23 2018, 02:22 PM) Can you test out, if you are capturing in RAW, it's not using the monochrome sensor? You can block the monochrome sensor to test it. Having said that, I would get the P20 if RAW is your cup of tea. Or even S9. There's a limitation of multi sensor setup like the Huaweis. Sure I'll give it a shot maybe sometime next week when I have more time on my hands. What are the limitations?

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Apr 23 2018, 10:12 PM) I suspect it can only store the main camera sensor's RAW data. The integration with the monochrome sensor data is done post-RAW by the DSP. Nevertheless, it's still great because of larger than usual sensor size. That's an interesting hypothesis. I'll check and revert back.

QUOTE(digitalcode @ Apr 24 2018, 10:08 AM) Thanks, that crossed my mind shortly after but I lost internet so couldn't react fast enough... Lol I took many scenic photos with my P20 pro but the AI tried to HDR everything... Resulting in really distorted shots.. wasted my day's worth of photos.. have now disabled Master AI, sometimes swap to 40Mb when I want hi-res shots and not yet experiment with mono.. I just disable Master Ai nowadays.

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 24 2018, 10:28 AM) Every other review I read about the phone says that's the first thing to do before using the camera, otherwise the photos will look artificial. Yeah the over processing is too much.
