Errr i just updated my Note 8 to Oreo few days ago, battery life improved..

being stingy to several customer, will make million other customer go away.. damn it,, doesn't matter what company, i hates when they bully customer.. i mean c'mon, you rake milion of dollars every year but you won't want to replace the device? the frequency of it hapen is what, like 1/100,000 customer? still gain a lot lah! for this, booooo huawei!

During lunch hour today, my friend show off his p20p.. i tested the camera.. like very merely did point and shoot.. but man.. there is no way to get bad picture with it.. i hide my Note 8 in pocket already

But phone display.. i think maybe i'm so get used to samsung infinity display.. any other display just looks inferior..

Other than that, holding p20p feels premium, like holding iphone feels (hate to say this but so that ppl understand).. performance aside bcause i dont really test it, its a solid phone and well worth its price.. i'll choose it over iphone anytime.. but hard to choose it over Note 8 mainly due to the note taking functions, and other things on Note 8 is not that too inferior compared to it.. at least for me la

If you say its lame, your eyes or head must be something wrong.. if you prefer flat screen i understand.. but to say p20 display is better than note 8 display, u make me lough.. distort? Not seeing it like that.. Its more like making it pop out to me..

I had to say i'm impressed by the camera.. for a non-camera savvy user.. easy point and shoot, the result is just nothing to grumble about.. it does not break my jaw though, hardly any camera will break my jaw ever. Lol.. but its no joke the camera is the selling point.. just pity samsung, they ran out of idea for S9 and use the camera as selling point, yet another model came out that beat them.. not by miles.. but still..

Out of all the odd.. p20p is good. But side by side with note 8 if i will just choose one phone, i take Note 8 first for several reasons.. although inferior camera, but note 8 still takes good picture and i'm no camera artist.. i only envy that 4000mah juice on p20p as i think battery life on my note 8 is below par.. but rumoyrs has it that Note 9 will have big battery.. so..

Iphone 6 is very old.. not even worth to compare.. the answer is clear.. unless if you are deciding between iphone 8 or this

But iphone 6 can't really handle heavy games too.. i guess issues with games on p20 is due to software optimisation, not hardware.. so hopefully can be improved

Not sure what happen to yours.. but on my device, i found no apps really goes rogue.. what consume battery the most is always screen on time.. you said no solution for years, but it has been years i dont use app killer or package disabler.. imo if any apps causing problem, should blame it on app developer for writing bad app

Yeah.. just a few weeks ago it kacau Note 8 thread, ranting there.. then i think admin kick it.. now come back with different name already.. unbelieveable

If that caused options to narrow down to just 2 manufacturer.. then maybe rethink wether its an issue or just how it works.. yeah only apple and google made their own os, other company all just use google's platform.. for me, i actually care less about software updates unless there is problem or a big leap of os (such as from Naugat to Oreo). But many phone seems likely to stuck with one android version unless for flagship.. even for flagship the most with get upgraded to 1 new version, thats it.. they just simply dont have resource to do it, unless if they use vanilla android then they can simply port in without need to modify.. we just had to live with it.. its not going to be like iphone, never, because they have small product line

To be realistic, if i can get 5h sot i will be happy already.. that means it can go through the day easily.. who stares at their phone 5 hours during working? Lol.. but my Note 8 can only do 3-4h which i wish could be more

After some time (and ageing) u will get bored eventually.. lol! Ask folks around here.. if you are around long enough, many common names are jot active anymore.. mind you 8-9 years ago we talked about rom building like mad. even for me, just still interested to get a good device, but not so much enthusiast anymore.. used to change phone once every 3-6 months.. but not so much in recent 2 years..
