I've had an interesting one.

Before the wedding, the guest said he'll come..
On that day, MIA..
After the wedding, asked for our bank account to bank in the angpow..

still, at least your guest have that sense of responsibility for his empty seat

Guilty as charged but did he really bank in the ang pow monies or just ask for shows sake? Not being money faced here, but based on credibility and honor.

Maybe it's because of my profession. I shoot weddings for living

So I get to see these reasoning and stories thru their phone calls on wedding nights very often. But sadly the dabao culture is not practiced by most. Most of the left over food just went into trash.

LOL.....yeah you get to experience listening to real life drama events unfolding right before you.

Dabao culture only prominent at Malay and Indian weddings. Such a waste of so much left over food.

Malay weddings yes. As for Indians, have to depend on their wealth.

There are some really rich Indian families that I have shot before totally give no damn on those left overs.

Go to other branch of restaurant. My wedding Moon Palace Cheras, he go Moon Palace Puchong

That is clear a case of blurrness.

btw, few days before my wedding, i YC with him to pass him the invitation card at a cafe shop below that moon palace restaurant and told him it was just upstair

Chinese Wedding Dinner .....

The most boring and stressful dinner to attend.

Wish that I am ask ahead whether available to attend instead of passing the card straight to me.

To a good friend ... Is your wedding ... I want to sit together with you to eat, drink, sing and laugh .... not sitting with some strangers. Not not your wedding day of course ... but can be earlier or later.

Sigh.......people these days just impose and invite every tom dick and harry without giving a second thought.

Over the weekend I went to my regular car grooming shop. I saw so many people in the shop, so I thought business was so good. Turns out, one of the customers came to wash and groom his car for his wedding reception that night. After he left, the lead technician told me the story and that the groom actually invited him to attend his wedding dinner reception as well. I just face palmed myself.

Asking ahead normally will have less absentees. People who have confirmed normally will turn up. More work calling up each and everyone but better than those not turning up and a seat allocated.

Empty seats and tables doesnt reflect well on the host.

Ur friend who is leg pain sounds legit.
He could have hurt his leg on that day itself so of course lah yesterday not pain.

Some people could be really want to share their happiness with everyone.
Or he could have really consider the technician as his friend but too bad the technician dont see it that way.
