interestingly, this month my home copper phone line is not charged for rm1 (linked with my unifi so rm25 waived for the monthly fee but only pay rm1). 😜

Is this month unifi bill going to have no GST on the bill amount?

QUOTE(wp188 @ Jun 14 2018, 02:30 PM)
Applied for the raya pormotion on last Friday 8/6 , sent me an email saying that will contact me within 3 working days ... till today yet nobody contact me

Called them yesterday push here and there , tell me you better go TMpoint apply and faster , your housing area left only 2 empty ports , went 2 branches not open (understandable due to pre-raya)

Called them up again ask me to wait till next Wednesday after raya , damn pissed off

I think better think twice whether want to upgrade my current streamyx to unifi 30mbps , any comment?
*
u will certainly regret for not converting to unify when you still can instead. streamyx is too miserable for current Internet needs for ppl. I was stucked with my house for about 1.5 years before my housing area has unifi covered. I certainly missed out a lot of things for not having unifi that time. The internet experience is totally cmi for streamyx.

My bill is out but I can't download it yet. However, I can see the total due is lower than previous months.
$185.60 vs $200.34 ($189 + $11.34 GST).
I think they refunded me 9 days worth of GST ie. [9/30] x $11.34 = $3.40.
$189 - $3.40 = $185.60
*
good. Considered ‘cheaper’ in price now although TM never lower down the price.

I don’t mind going over TM Point Uptown to try bug them but 100mbps is overkill since I’m not the one using... sweat.gif

My parents can’t even utilise 30mbps to the fullest... just that paying 159 seems overpriced...
*
for the extra little bucks with a future proof speed, it is still very worth it. 100Mbps for normal surfing or video streaming make no difference but for downloading file, it really makes a different for few times faster speed.

Never mind. Another few more days. Hope I am eligible for 800Mbps haha. Although now 100Mbps is quite overfilled for me.

I think the most lucky groups are those who are now on 10Mbps. Paying the cheapest price but can get fee upgrade to the most ‘reasonable’ speed of 100Mbps for this era.

brows.gif Mostly ppls still paid Lite 10Mbps for RM149 and RM129, while those VIP5 still paid RM158?

Only some students paid RM99 for same plan...
Anyways, all below 20Mbps will upgrade to same 100Mbps soon...  rclxms.gif
*
That’s very good enough. Rm129 for 100Mbps or even RM99 for 100Mbps is a steal.
To most people, 100Mbps vs 300Mbps vs 500Mbps vs 800Mbps does not make a big difference in user experience. Even streaming with 100Mbps is more than sufficient. 4K streaming alone only needs 15Mbps or 25Mbps. For 100Mbps it is more than sufficient even there are other devices occupying the bandwidth.

Previously 10Mbps vs 30Mbps vs 50Mbps vs 100Mbps made more difference.

Im currently on 50mbs, no std free calls, ruby at 189.
Wrote to tm today  to see if they can adjust price.
If not I’m gonna apply new account, rm139, 30mbs, Ruby, free calls, 2yr contract. At least I save 1.2k over 2 years
*
u should. u are paying the price i paid for 100Mbps now with Ultimate Pack and Voice STD20 (Free). tongue.gif

STEAL is really offences to others, it's just TM marketing tricks to battle with Maxis Fiber RM139 10Mbps.

But RM129 is without STB and Calls.
RM99 Student is without HyppTV Everywhere also.

SO FYI, price reductions is NOT STEAL, but removed those JUNK BUNDLES ADD-ON...

P/s: By the way, now you can also STEAL BACK to TM, pay RM200 for downgrade 10Mbps RM129, then wait for free upgrade 100Mbps later. It's will STEAL RM200 Monthly  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
Your alternative choice is downgrade with pay RM200 to remain the number and line, otherwise subscribe new contract for better offers.

eg. downgrade to lite 10Mbps RM129 monthly, but you will entitled for 100Mbps soon, but saves RM70 monthly.
*
it depends on how you look at this. this is known marketing strategies from TM to offer different packages at different prices.

it is up to one to grab the best deal at his choice.
one can easily terminate the existing package at higher price, while signing up a new pack or downgrading to a lower package to enjoy the free speed upgrade.
many had done thus result in different pricing even fo the same packages.

rm129 for 100MBps (no quota like the basic plan) for those who totally do not need voice or unifi tv is a best ideal plan as of now.

That means this round of speed upgrades is largely a cosmetic exercise.
Just for show without impacting their bottomline.
That's why no real price reduction.
*
to me, i would think TM is quite sincere already, previously given 2x speed, now give 10x, it is equivalent to 20x minimum of speed upgrade already.
although price is not reduced but at least they have very cheap option now rm129.

and this rm129 will give 100Mbps speed soon. tongue.gif

I know that whatever what improvements TM takes, somebody is bound to make complaints about it  sweat.gif

That's why sometimes we cannot have nice things sweat.gif
*
to me, i feel appreciated at least la. tongue.gif

becos i had gone through the period of one year++ without unifi when i moved to my current house. that day i ever prayed for unifi to come and I told myself that I was willing to pay for whatever price it is as long as unifi is here.

for the original price of rm329 -> rm189 for 100Mbps with unifi TV ultimate pack + STD20 free. it is very good liao. not to mention there is a chance to get 8 times more speed soon.

i would think that we should be graceful, at least unifi is really good overall in terms of the line quality and speed. not to mention that it is really cheap at rm129 for 100Mbps now.

Lfmao, last time upgrade is because Najib ordered it...
This time upgrade is because Malaysians demanded it, and YB Gobind pushed a bit...

You really think TM so sincere to offer FREE UPGRADES AUTOMATICALLY?
Our Thailand just offered 1000Mbps for only RM365, Singapore 1000Mbps for only RM148, Romania 1000Mbps only RM39!!

May I know WHY Malaysians need overpaid for INSANE HIGH PRICES for over 10 years?
*
Compare to lion city, it may not be a fair comparison as they are majority high rise property. While most properties in bolehland are landed. Many landed properties are using ADSL still unless the neighbourhood are willing to pay for the infrastructure cost.

Me too. I was quite happy to pay RM189 for 100Mbps. 800Mbps even better. Since I don't use Astro, the Ultimate Pack was a really significant bonus. Would I like a price decrease? Of course.

Service wise, I guess I've been lucky. Perhaps my Taman isn't too congested but Unifi quality of service for my area has been pretty much top notch for the last 6/7 years. Service calls, installations are attended to promptly. Granted, I've only had 2 service calls so far, one for a BTU PSU problem and my self-inflicted HyppTV stuttering problem, so it's not much of a sample size. Sure there're hiccups along the way, well, just one, TM took 2 weeks to finalise my +RM10 100Mbps upgrade. I almost didn't get the 100Mbps on the day of installation. Was quite mad about the disorganisation surrounding my upgrade but solved by the end of the day.
*
yup.

for those who really want to pay the minumum for the best available unifi service.

rm129 - 100Mbps is the ultimate service to get. tongue.gif

streamyx i think it is the even tougher to get price reduce compared to unifi.
i think to TM, it costs more to maintain the infrastructure for streamyx than unifi.

If I am on RM189 100Mbps with free STD20 and unifi TV ultimate pack (under contract), can I pay downgrade fee to downgrade to rm129 unifi lite and eventually get 100Mbps speed upgrade?
