If I call my house network an intranet, all my friends* will laugh at me. My house does not qualify as one.

I'll be using Cat5e. Re-cabling is not possible and would add too much to the costs. eg: A MacBook Pro keyboard costs RM2000 to replace.

*those in the IT industry
*
Lfmao, then you can call it Home Intranet or Personal Area Network (PAN)

Wasn't it reported by others that when you opt out of HyppTV you get your internet subscription bumped up by same quantum?
So you still pay the same amount only now less one service.
*
FYI, Unifi Basic is WITHOUT calls/ or Hyyptv...
and it's just RM79 with 60GB quota...
(which is enough for my current usages as mostly of my families is using mobile cum with DATA)

Just live chatted TM, no free upgrade for router that doesn't support the new speed 😪
*
haha, I've told earlier lah...
if you demand new equipment, then need pay or re-contract...
It's didn't written black and white, so who already got it free might not meaning giving FREE STUFFS for others too...

QUOTE(miloaisdino @ Jul 21 2018, 12:34 AM)
We got time, just press gobind to let them expand coverage
*
YB Gobind and TIME already made statements earlier, need some time for Pole approvals and will be easy to ask every state governments to open green lights if Internet Access in Malaysian's Basic Human Rights.
Also, grant new ISP license require more time to study and research.

But I'm STRONGLY ADVICE Malaysian Government go study how Korea and Thailand able to offered such low prices for Fiber Internet and across nationwide (but not only cities/towns).

They was using DOCSIS 3.0 to delivery internet access and TV for every households at AFFORDABLE PRICES...

maybe tm send the email follow account no, so for those who subscribed earlier, they already received it.
*
some user reported they just signed up 2 months ago, and mine is nearly 1 year. So confirmed that our account numbers is FRESH lah...

Actually, I got using bulk mail sender before for marketing.
It's depend receivers mail servers and sender CPU core, then it'll sending random until those lists was success delivered.
If kept failed, then will re-attempt to sending again.

So, I'm preferred using Gmail instead of Hotmail/Ymail to receive marketing/newsletters.

o really? whistling.gif

you can download some freeware to try yourself la, but gmail sending limits is below 500 per hours, other free mails is random from 100-250 hourly.

Not sure with TM mail server sending limits, maybe 10000 hourly or more...
since need send over 2 millions if mostly eligible for speed upgrades...

P/s: almost same 1035xx in Oct 2017 due to delayed expansion coverage, suppose coming in May-Jun 2017.

My relatives is 1034xxx since they stayed in same neighborhood with YB. tongue.gif tongue.gif

Router or modem (ONU)?  There's a big difference between the two sweat.gif
*
BTU can't be sell or buy as sole-distribute by TM only, but you can ask for replacement. (it's free and no need re-contract but technicians might charges you RM2xx-3xx)

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 21 2018, 01:43 AM)
What do you use to send?

I use sendy and Amazon SES (simple email service). It'll send sequentially while keeping within the SES rate limits (5 emails/s). SES is cheap. I wonder why TM didn't use it. USD100 for 1,000,000 emails.
*
Never heard that, but I'm think better sending SMS is more efficiency and easier for uncle/auntie instead of email!!

all right, so no free upgrade of router by TM, how bout BTU?
im still using this one, unsure if can cope with the new speed later.. (im currently on 50M, entitled for upgrade starting next month)

user posted image
*
Your BTU is 1st gen?
You can ask for replacement after upgraded speed, but i think you only able get 100Mbps instead of 500Mbps for this BTU...
You'll also need CAT-5e new LAN cables...

Why would technician charge 2xx-3xx?
*
written inside blue agreement, technicians had rights to charges in need walk-in premises to troubleshoot. (heard can waived also)
but if you under 1-month warranty during fresh-install, then it's free lah...

QUOTE(RokXIII @ Jul 21 2018, 01:55 AM)
No idea what model is this.
Should be the "pioneer" model since I started using it back in 2011.
*
What's a SUPRISES, your BTU is wrote I-240G-F
Seem like got Gigabits, try check back user-manual documents inside your boxes...

P/s: you need check your PC got G ports or not, and your current LAN cable is 100Mbps or 1Gbps, if not buy new CAT-5e
only cost few RM nia...

Of course, also I don't know why people don't want to buy their own router  hmm.gif
*
Because it's come with free and many peoples donno/lazy to setup...
10x is completely out of minds, came too suddenly...

While mostly new unifiers just get 100Mbps or 300Mbps, so current routers is more than enough for them already...

haha, got matters with who get first or who get later?
Anyways, almost every receivers in 1st batches...

I'm still believe that it's multi-core CPU picking randomly from a lists, and kept attempt to resend...

If your mail servers is not that picky/filter mails, then easier to receive it first...

Look, that's not RM 2xx-3xx as what you said, the service fee is RM 50 (since without GST/SST) now. Also, I don't know if BTU replacement will incur technician fees or not. I cannot confirm on this.
BTU is lifetime warranty, so replacement should be free.

I'm sorry but you have been misleading people. One classic example is the relocation post which you replied earlier.
*
Look, charge relocation fee or technician surcharges was written, either charges or waived it's not decide by you or me.

By the way, WAIVED isn't mean whole life.
If you kept thinking I'm misleading then I'm quite speechless then...

too bad, i lost the manual.. (actually i cant even remember if there is a manual)

if lets say i have changed to a new BTU, the new CAT-5e is use to connect from BTU to router? cause im using WIFI only, so shouldnt be a problem even my PC without G ports, right?
*
you can try using current equipments, if capped below 100Mbps then it's up to you to upgrade or not. since you have using over 7 years... (over lifespan already, maybe overheat will fed up you?)

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 21 2018, 02:12 AM)
Simple users, they don't want to spend extra money, free router = good router. For me, free router = subsidise new router.
*
hmm, depend also.
light users where got need good router, unless we got more users and heavier activities then might need dual band/tri bands...

So what does CopperTM mean?
*
Not only these branded, but my neighborhood using ROJAK mixed of SAMSUNG/FIBERHOME/OPNET branded DP...

P/s: Tested with 10+ houses in same states. None using VDSL at all...
seem like major towns and state capital is connected with FTTH

why "FiberToPremise": "N" but "TypeDP": "FTTH"???
mine also like this  rolleyes.gif

becoz TM technician/contractor was pulled copper wire to your house (last miles network) but your zone is FTTH area.

What's the meaning of "DPVENDOR"? Mine is OPCOM
*
Great, finally saw you using OPCOM, mines is the only OPNET so I'm believe it's same company/manufacturer.

My connections was outperformed, so this brand shouldn't be big problems compare to BRANDED vendor.

DP is distribution boxes (WHITE) either hanh behind your landed house or fixed in wall of building.
