Hello everyone, anyone know how to terminate unifi? What need to bring? My contract is ended.

Second :
Bring your IC and go to TMPoint, they gonna need your fingerprint.

That 30 days crap probably TM method to make it harder for subscribers to terminate their subscription. (One month extra $$$ from customer) vmad.gif
Gotta complain to MCMC and Gobind about it.
Last time termination is easy, just walk into TMPoint, bring IC, thumb print, pay any due amount/penalty = termination done.

Maybe many subscribers did not pay final bill  hmm.gif
*
TM won't let one terminate without paying final bill.
Pay on the spot, then account is properly closed.

Otherwise......warning letter after warning letter, then lawyer letter, then bankruptcy notice.

That's mean who in VDSL2 HSBB can upgrade max 100mbps only. can't up to 500mbps or 800mbps. whistling.gif

QUOTE(newbienew @ Aug 3 2018, 11:58 PM)
You are right VDSL max 100mbps..
*
However, if you notice the modem specification given by TM, the modem actually support 200Mbps downstream and 100Mbps upstream with 30a profiles and G.Vector.

I believe the new VDSL2 DSLAM installed by TM support those two 30a profiles and G.Vector. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense for TM to supply VDSL2 modem capable of those features.

How do you guys know what’s the max speed the router can support?

Mine is Asus RT-N12HP.
*
100Mbps for your stuff. WAN and LAN ports are 10/100Mbps only.

About your Wifi, since wifi is* half-duplex + almost half of the wireless frames are overheads......so....expect around 40 - 90 Mbps for your so called 300Mbps wifi.

Which Asus router support 800Mbps Unifi on Wifi connection that u recommend ?
*
-.-....Impossible.

It not as if your smartphone has 4 antennas......

In theory, to reach 800Mbps effective bandwidth on WAN to Wifi, one would need 4x4:4 for both router and client device.

What is meant by Asus when they stated their Asus RT-AC86U router capable of transmitting 1734Mpbs on ac wifi?
*
Go google "transmit, receive and stream notation"

Then google "PHY data rate and MAC throughput"

sorry for asking  tongue.gif

-.-?

Wifi is half duplex.
WAN/LAN/Ethernet is full duplex.

What is there to check? confused.gif

Must be copper-clad aluminium wire instead of pure solid copper wire. hmm.gif

copper-clad aluminium is actually fine, signaling is different from power application. You will want copper clad aluminium for your everyday use, only if doing building installations and for PoE that you will want full copper.
*
-.- Nope....it is bad for signalling. You don't want CCA (copper cladded aluminium), it is a fire hazard as well.

I'm on 50Mbps as well, like the guy who was turbofied.
Not upgraded yet, only received the turbofied email (Aug-Dec).

Perhaps mine may take longer because the last modem TM gave me is the old DIR-615.
Replaced long ago with my own RT-AC68U though.
*
......DIR-615 is router.....the most important part is your ONU model.

30/50 - 300/500 should be first to get.
And 10 - 100 I read sometime back Lite is not applicable for Turbo upgrade?

Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
Only U.Lite package under SUBB designation is not eligible.

U.Lite under HSBB designation = TURBO

U.Lite subscribers can check the package designation by login into unifi.com.my

Under the SST, all forms of night clubs, private clubs, golf clubs and golfing ranges will be taxed.

Also taxable are telecommunication services with add-on services such as applications, games included in phone online packages, internet services and paid television services.

He also pointed out that under the SST, electricity charges in each school would only be imposed when consumption exceeded 600 units, compared to 300 units under the GST.

Lim said that there would be no SST charged for prepaid cards although such cards were charged GST, reiterating that those who bought a prepaid card for RM10 would pay the exact amount without additional charges.

I really wanna ask our Finance Minister about TM Internet bill on SST part....... sad.gif

I'm ok coz my jiran is good
Know them about 10yrs aldy
1. QOS
2. QOS
3. Ask jiran to buy repeater
*
All of your three solution will not work with upcoming turbo.
QOS will disable IPv4 NAT Acceleration --> Lower WAN to LAN/wireless throughoutput if router has weak cpu --->Unless if IPv6 is being used.

Some unpleasant info:

Not all FTTH areas will support 300, 500 or 800Mbps. It depends on the infrastructure on the area.
*
Infrastructure eh?

Because FTTH area isn't exactly 'FTTH'......... whistling.gif

The connection might be fiber from FDP to the home, but somewhere in the network, copper is used as medium of transport.

Example:
Home <----[Fiber]---> FDP <---[Fiber]---> FDC (cabinet/curb) <---[Copper]---> Another FDC <---[Fiber]--->TM backbone.

Some 'FTTH' subscribers have higher latency for 'fiber' connectivity........ innocent.gif

TM's infra for FTTH is Home -> ONU -> DP -> DC -> OLT -> NPE -> BRAS.  My guess is some of the older OLTs don't have enough uplink capacity to their NPEs (the metro-e switches) and would raise the contention ratio too high. They were using copper SFP+ DACs for that interconnect and vendors like Fiberhome only have 2x SFP+ uplinks.
*
Highly possible. hmm.gif

QUOTE(hurricane21 @ Aug 12 2018, 12:44 PM)
But lower latency also doesn’t mean full fiber correct? unsure.gif
*
Yes.

QUOTE(nikrizal @ Aug 12 2018, 01:19 PM)
Maybe a more pleasant info:

Most FTTH areas support gigabyte internet. Only SUBBS areas where FTTH technology is utilised will get 100Mbps maximum.
*
Err......are you certain SUBB with FTTH will get 100Mbps maximum.....or.....SUBB with VDSL2 will get 100Mbps maximum?

If SUBB with FTTH get 100Mbps, this means TM really use copper backbone for some of its 'fiber' network. sweat.gif

After all, as rizvanrp said, SFP+ can handle around 8.5Gbps to 10Gbps per port (If fiber being used and the module can handle such speed).

My first job out of uni was with TM for about 2 years after the initial Unifi launch. After that it was another 3-4 years of TM projects under an external consultation company. Worked on almost everything from routers and network security, the ACS/TR069 fuckup, NGN fiber optic splitters and deep packet inspection, the initial IPv6 implementation, metro-e and access network debugging. Also designed all the test procedures and wrote the TL1 adapters/APIs for their customer support platform (which was eventually converted into a project on its own) during my lunch breaks.

Spent a good portion of my early 20s just sitting in TM exchanges across the country looking at Wireshark captures off their equipment and fixing shit laugh.gif I've left the telecommunications industry and moved into systems integration work.
*
brows.gif Any summary on the deep packet inspection? Plus what stuff you had seen on those wireshark capture?
