You mean my gpu? It’s z brand 3080 in a not so good thermal case nzxt h510 elite.

Shhhhhh. Keep my z brand low. Not many people like z brand in this forum. They made me feel kinda shame owning this z brand 😝

Jokes aside. It serves me pretty well tho. Hahahaha! Peace man.

Z brand are more popular compare than PNY brand. lol

28~29c without ac. Around 24~27c with ac on set at 27c.

fuh.. how your card cool below ambient. Even custom waterblock wont achieve that.

So after whole night test, I think I will settle for 1890mhz @ 0.875v + 500mem OC using curve UV/OC. Temp only hit 63c playing CP2077, default TUF fan curve which is cannot hear at all. I think I happy enough for now. Wish could do 1920mhz @ 0.875v, but it is unstable.

What you guys think?

Should be my ac kept on all the time, ambient temperature was being kept constant around 26~27c. And the GPU fan was set to 800rpm min at all time, I'm not using 0 fan mode, not a fan of it. Noise level at 800rpm won't bother me.

well it’s silicon lottery. but youre basically running FE clocks at such temps is damn good.

it’s a thermodynamic law that you cant go below ambient temps. Unless your room is actually way colder or the sensors are busted... or something is leaking laugh.gif

The lowest temperature only was there for few seconds then raises back already. So far so good. That's why I asked in the forum about other guys experience about idle temperature. It seems not just me, so it's normal haha.

they dont go below ambient. max also matching ambient temps with liquid cooling. But if it really drops below ambient, it’s a sign of heatpipe or radiator leaking usually.

that’s surprisingly higher than a lotac. Im getting +2C delta from ambient on my fanless mode during idle before my deshroud. +1C after with fans never stop.

how to compare idle temps like that...

1) you won't know fan stop is active or not
2) you won't know how airflow is to and around the card
3) you won't know what case is used, if the side panel is open,...
4) you won't know if the card is in direct or passive air stream of your AC

just check techpowerup or other sites which review idle temps as they make sure to have same set up.

Fans idle. Got X570 chipset and SSD just under it.

then again, load temps also will be affected by those variables as well. Like during my 14day quarantine in hotel, i whack my room’s AC to 16C.. and the max load on the 2080 is 55+C hahaha.

The more accurate way to measure should be using delta from ambient.

I’ll monitor closely these few days. But it’s not giving me problem tho. No performance drop or whatsoever wo. Hmmmmm 🤔

those heat arent conducted to the gpu so it wont affect. Interestingly gigabyte indeed have higher idle temps among the AIB looking at reviews.. Perhaps the heatsink is airflow optimized design with lower density fin stack. Means lower noise too... Nice.

or maybe your room ambient is actually 23C then the reading is correct.

Ah hah, If i remember correctly, that day was a rainy night with ac on LOL. Now morning time, without ac, just a small normal room with opened door and normal room fan, idling around 34c. Better than before, previously was at about 41~44c. Don't know what they did with the driver update.

Giga aorus cards runs cool at load when the fans gets spinning up and at low noise.
it's designed for optimal cooling at load.
depends which bios setting u select. Silent setting, fans ramp up at higher temps (60) and has some effect on PCH temps. Not advisable for those with small casing / poor air circulation.
Oc setting , the fans will ramp up at 50 C whether idle or not.
Either way, it's pretty silent.

Gigabyte aorus master is same tier like Asus rog strix, right? Pricing not that friendly LOL.

Add on, just found out there are aorus mater and aorus extreme. Extreme comes with a mini figure.

I can only maintain stable 1920mhz (with boost to 1935mhz) @ 0.912v. But at this voltage the temp go up to 69c, maybe will touch over 70c if don't turn on AC. You said every 10c the card will throttle 15mhz right?
