if you are not hardcore overclocker getting 2 or 3 pin wouldn't matter... but it matters on your electricity bill if you getting the 3 pin ..
I personally would set to the highest setting and cap to 60fps (only running 60Hz screen now) wouldnt able to see the difference even the screen renders at 200fps |

QUOTE(Honey Stars @ Dec 10 2020, 09:28 PM) Anyone got problem with Colorful RTX3080 advanced oc fans being loud? Install HWinfo... Check the fan speed % when idle and in game.. by right at idle should be below 30%.. on load can be high... Typically if you can get fan below 70% it's still silent... These fans is noisy once reach 80%Feels like even in desktop the fans are running at full speed all the time. I tried using custom fan curve in afterburner but doesnt seem to have any effect. december88 liked this post

QUOTE(nam3le5s @ Dec 10 2020, 10:14 PM) Hi Sifus, If your choise is purely on size.. check out the actual length of this cards here and see which you can get locallyI've decided to get a RTX3080, either ASUS TUF or the EVGA XC3 mainly because I have a small casing and the cards need to be 30cm or below in length. I've heard that Malaysian retailers are forcing customers to buy a whole PC if they want a RTX3080 card. I thought by now stocks would be somewhat replenished or could pre-order.. since 6800XT is out. After checking around, I'm frustrated and disappointed that they are still blatantly carrying out this practice. I feel it's borderline illegal to do so, especially the recent PS5 bundle issue with Gamers Hideout. Any advice on getting a card at retail price? I feel like want to complain to KPDNKK about this kind of practice.. sorry just feeling quite annoyed https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jhS...it?usp=drivesdk Most looking for the TUF as it's highly OC and the brand repo nam3le5s liked this post

just wonder why people like to go ITX and put very high end spec on small case? Is it really you guys have space constraints? Or you take your ITX with you every weekend for LAN party?..
serious question though.... pls don't troll |

QUOTE(nrw @ Dec 14 2020, 10:23 AM) nah his way of setting curves is simply wrong. the Ampere generally use 2 voltage curve if set correctly.. one on idle another on 3D... yes it will use sometimes in between but when tested ; its hardly 1% of the time.. this I'm referring to real gaming not on synthetic benchhe is pulling 1 voltage point only and then applies it which will create a steep incline for the 8 v/f points to the left and leaves those further left on stock. this is not an issue as long as the card doesn't clock down. but once the card clocks down to a lower point setting the curve the way I described will give better performance as v/f are on an actual curve where every point left to the maximum is increased. |

no lah.. seriously.. reason im asking is that ITX meant to be portable and meant to be for normal use
PPl using it put high-end component; then run into a lot of prob with temp etc... that's why I ask why to take such a painful route to cramp everything for it to exactly sit at a corner and suffer with lower performance due to temp edit : even I have ps4 pro & xbox one x still sit there on the desk.. didn't even bother to take it when going outstation.. just use iPAD & phone.. and both ps & xb is capable for travel This post has been edited by iZuDeeN: Dec 14 2020, 01:15 PM |

QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Dec 20 2020, 06:39 PM) OK. Deshrouded the card. Using it in Ncase v1 using a pure negative pressure setup (based on C14S airflow setup at https://imgur.com/a/kybBtjQ, but with 2x GT-1850s in place of NF-A12X25 for GPU exhaust), 1 side panel removed, case feet raised an inch. ive tried with negative setup before.. the temp will never be good.,, u need +ve airflow for the card to be stable...Not impressed with temps. GPU core thermals seem a bit warmer overall, even if the PC is a lot more silent. Going to try reversing the fans later, as well as checking my pasting job. Worst case scenario - I revert back to the stock cooler but with the RGB strip on the side of the shroud removed completely. |

Its VERY UNLIKELY the PSU causing the issue.. there is so many circuit protection ; overcurrent ; temp ; circuit cutoff before it will even failed..

You can also use your TARGET CLOCK speed and use that as reference.. i.e if you want to get 2000Hz.. test to see what voltage you get..
I personally try to get LOWEST VOLTAGE for the target speed (in my case 2k) instead setting voltage and try to see what max speed it can get.. For me no point to crippled your card to undervolt if you also getting lower speed.. spend so much to get 3080 but running at 3070 speed.. anyway no right or wrong.. just PREFERENCE And real test is when gaming no crash.. only use heaven or other benchies just to get reference.. I always get stable result when using synt testing.. but will crash when gaming (between 15 - 40 mins in the game) when use real game.. so just use synt to get a feel .. then to lock it.. use your fave game to run 1 - 2 rounds |
