many boards even my zotac included will throttle due to hitting the power limit and the frames will momentarily drop. Some boards my throttle more aggressively.

Solution is by undervolting the card. Im able to keep the board power draw below 300w and pump out 1965mhz and no more such sudden stutters.

However if you own those 3pin behemoth, try increasing your power allowance.

go to the game folder
on both .exe file properties compatibility
disable full screen optimization

also 5600xt amd experience eh

norm is cpu frametime max 40-50s
with the above fix it brings it down to 20s..

Certainly not normal to have these results. I have a 3080 paired with a 5600x myself n results are way better.

i have a bad experience last time with 5700XT and Radeon driver. i can say the driver is king of crash. after the bad experience, I'm jump to RTX 2070S than upgrade to RTX3080. Peace of mind.

wanna ask, a friend of mine is selling his 2060 6gb for RM700. wondering is it a good pick over a new 1660 super? since his 2060 i think is like 2 years card? need to know when he buys it but should be around 2 years.

overall is it still better to take the 2060 instead of 1660 super?

TUF 12.6 doesn't include that piece sticking out below the PCIE power sockets, but I'd expect it to still be less than 14cm total given that the card fits the Ncase perfectly.

Zotac cards seem to be all over the place with user reports though. Maybe the users reporting the card fits are tolerating the reverse sag? If I pick this up I might have to fiddle with the front I/O bracket.

It would be safer to get the tuf for the M1 in my opinion... you should kinda have expected 70% of the pc building comunity especially on reddit have zero idea what they’re doing..

from the 2 separate build logs that we shared, we can clearly see the reverse sag on the trinity already and it’s definitely putting stress on the card slot. Especially on the one i shared... and it looks like you’ll need to remove at least 2mm chunk of material.

Maybe even try look for a different case as it seems the front IO of the m1 will get in the way of any 3slot card that is longer than 30cm. kinda confirming that the igames cant fit as well.

part of the reason why the tuf seems to fit perfectly in many of these premium ITX case is because many of these case are designed around the 1080Ti strix which has very similar dimension as the tuf.

For your gpu noticed your temp is a bit high. Instead of allowing following default fan curve you can set fan fixed at around 80%

colorful rtx 3080 advanced oc doesn't work with 2x8pin, i have this card and tested it with 2x8pin & you will have no display output.
And the card measured end to end length is actually around 299cm instead of the spec sheet at 315.5 cm.

For those curious my 3080 advanced oc Time Spy results with following stable uv setting in afterburner.
1905mhz@0.85v, memory +700, max 70% fan speed during Time Spy test. Ambient temperature 28-29degC.

Also due to how toasty the 3080 trinity gets, changed the AIO fans of my ID cooling 240L to 2 gentle typhoons

instant peace of mind lmao, fkin id cooling fans are just e-waste
loud like fkin mat rempits 
also the screws cant really be used anymore, I used ducktape to stick the fans to the radiator LMAO

Too risky for me to use DP-HDMI adapters...I need one for 4K tv and another for PSVR. Adapters are known to cause issues. That’s why my options are limited to (overpriced) models with more than 1 HDMI. At the very least, the Strix and Master/Xtreme will be the highest binned silicon with max OC out of the box.
