True if you're upgrading from 7800. There is no point, but since he's building a new high gaming rig , and the price difference is just a few hundred (less than 10% of the rig's price), why settle for the previous gen when the current gen is better and will have a longer lifespan?

Czone Digital Mall selling 5080 PNY oc RM6300 (non rgb) and RM6600 (rgb) no bundle required... they have at least 10 units just now

i cant find official pricing for PNY here so don't know if this is scalper price or not

for those waiting for non bundle for other brands...they say availability for other brands need wait another 1 month or so at least

After looking at those prices, I'll stick to a 3080 and probably upgrade to a 5080 when the MSRP goes back to cards below 5k...

I don't think I can really perceive the difference between 120fps (current) and 150fps upgraded...

I'm seeing alot more shops offering 5080 on marketplace..albeit still at markup price..

Once the stock stable and nobody really buying the scalp.pricing..we can see more reasonable pricing

Yeah need bundle. I built a new pc. I saw MSI Suprim RTX5090 liquid cooler one Rm12k+. MSI gaming Trio rtx5090 also 12k+.

I'm using 3080 now for 3-4 yrs already ; tbh all the games I play all can load ultra setting on 1440p... that's why just curious those who really want to spend 15k for 5090..what the main usage..if pure gaming on 4k... then make sure ROI

Both. Making full use of it at the moment. AI is kinda additive and fun once exploring it.

3080 don’t have native frame gen I think only upscale ; but I did try before the frame gen .. but texture load weird …

.. short answer it’s the default setting on ultra… so I assume it’s without any frame gen etc … 100-120 fps on 1440p

But anyway, prices still go up regardless, as Nvidia is still listed in NASDAQ, i.e they pay the tariff, which is passed down to users
