QUOTE(kevink82 @ Oct 3 2020, 05:12 PM) Think better wait for 3070 or 3060ti..... Not much ppl even game at 4k... Most 27" 1440p monitors are better paired with 3070.

QUOTE(sojurn @ Oct 11 2020, 10:27 PM) Yes. Best card and price. Heard from a few people claim that Asus not gonna be bringing in TUF non OC version anymore. All gonna be OC model which is much more expensive. Dunno how true. The OC model is Rm3799 that one uzer90 bought right? This week my side no news about TUF 3080(pcimage).

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Oct 20 2020, 01:19 PM) ok difficult to quote alot of ppl vram is not based on amount theres hardware compression and bandwidth so dont start pitchforking it aint enough etc theres other more pressing problems in pc gaming.. cpu, mobo, ram, psu, cooling, nvme gen 4 all in all console gaming seems better set for next 2 years Actually want to build 3080 pc. But seeing the cost(Rm9k above), xbox series X seem better choice. 4K60 for Rm2xxx. There is no system can match it at the price point.

QUOTE(thankyou @ Oct 20 2020, 02:57 PM) Console RM3,000 Games 6,000 @ RM250 each That's about 24 titles... It's reasonable... no doubt... Gamepass is cheaper way to do it.

QUOTE(Chiggah @ Oct 28 2020, 07:25 AM) Is 3070 good value ? im running 1440p. Or should I go 3080 Coming from 980ti 3070 for 1440p , and 3080 for 4K ? Correct. 3080 usually for 4k tv. If monitor just use 2k.

QUOTE(sojurn @ Nov 3 2020, 01:42 PM) Performance delta between 3070 - 3080 is big enough to have a 3070Ti fit in. But delta between 3080 & 3090 seems a bit small. Unless it is just a VRAM upgrade, I'm really curious what they plan to do for the 3080 Ti. Im hoping they will release TI version at current price point to compete with 16Gddr6 from amd.

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Nov 12 2020, 12:45 AM) Talking about PS5, just saw that can preorder PS5 starting today. Went to Sony site and it's already sold out. 3000 series also hard to find until now. Doesn't feel like economy is bad. Alot people are targeting next gen hardwares. PC/xbox/ps5. Sadly most of them out of stock.

QUOTE(Bonchi @ Nov 20 2020, 09:45 PM) in the end, all entry 3080 cards gets slapped with a power limiter.. no matter how good the pcb, component and even the cooler is, you will just end up with a performance cap due to the power limit... including the tuf. So just go for whichever that you can find in stock if you tend to run reference settings as currently all cards in the market will run quietly below 75C in our hot weather... All cards will hit power limit way before thermal throttling. Or just pay the higher price straight away for premium cards with higher power limit if you’re looking for benchmark chart topping top performance. This is why undervolting become the trend now for 3080s .. pushing higher clocks at lower power draw yields better result as compared to cranking the voltages and lowering temps. So now, silicon lottery becomes critically important. For all that extra cost RM1000 in higher end cards over zotac 3080, at what percentage performance increment are we looking at?

QUOTE(faiz2036 @ Nov 21 2020, 11:20 AM) Are you waiting for specific brand? In sarawak sibu, only zotac 3080 OC is available. And required bundle. Then they dont have ryzen 5600x as well. So might as well wait next year.
