I'm more happy with the fan noise. Now I cannot hear the GPU fans anymore.

The fans has the standard 4-pin header so directly to the motherboard. With the free fan control software, it was easy to set fan speed curve tied to GPU temp.

I was lazy to compare temps before-and-after the mod. Maybe cooler by 1-2 'c. Just happy with the silent fans and the fact that I can use this mod for future GPUs as long as I get GPUs with similar x3 90mm fan setup.

Not attaching the fans to GPU also makes the GPU less heavy and bulky.

Hope to keep my rtx2080 for another 2-3 years..... or longer!

You can select other colours too. Do remember to buy the correct height for your gpu.

This vendor is from China and they also carry many other GPU stands with varying heights.

Mine is under the desk. Fan speed curve is set to min 20% and max 80%. Product description shows the Arctic f9 to run at 150 - 1800 rpm.

The only time I will ever put the rig on my desk is if I have all noctua fans in my rig. Not going to happen anytime soon as I still cannot accept the killer premium price of noctua fans.

Yeah, the Bequiet silent wings pro 4 looks good. Might consider that.

Anyway, happy with my new 5070 ti. A good upgrade from the aging 2080.

Bought Zotac due to it's 3+2 years warranty. Also happy to have found out that zotac backplate has thermal pads touching critical areas although I couldn't find anything on the internet for my specific model. My backplate gets quite hot during gaming so I hope the thermal pads are enough. I even slapped on my old northbridge heatsink-heatpipe-fins from the P35 mobo era on the backplate right at where the maximal hotspot was supposed to be, sitting on some thermal pads. Won't be as good as there's nothing holding it down but I guess better than nothing. And the good thing is the fins are sitting right behind the cpu fans.

Undervolted the card on day one, went from about 2900mhz @ 1.06v to 2800mhz @ 0.87v. Stable with Nvidia driver 576.15. Really impressive. Lazy to tweak much and settled for such speeds. Memory can overclock +2000mhz no problem but I keep it at stock at the moment as there's not any need to push the card gaming @ 1440p.

I bought my card from pcimage a week back. They have so many stock. Can buy without bundle.

Zotac gaming RTX 5070 Ti solid core OC. Bought it for 4.5k as didn't want to wait any longer for price to drop. Waited 2 months I think considered very good already....

All thanks to Ngreedia esp. when the 5000-series is the worst launch ever! Not enough just to profit from AI farms.

Not sure. I bought from local PC Image store so any issues will bring back to the shop. Decided not to buy online due to the hassle of sending it back by courier if any issues.

So far no issues changing voltage, undervolt, overclock, setting fan curves etc. Works like any regular cards.

And one of the thing I'm most happy with is that the backplates has thermal pads cooling the back of the card. Unlike some brands that apparent doesn't have that. Can see post #20242 in this thread : https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4547881/+20240

Can consider undevolting your card. My 5070 ti undervolt from 2900 mhz 1.06v to 2800mhz 0.870v. A one-time undervolt without trying too hard.

I could have aimed for higher speed but I prefer lower voltage. Power consumption (and temp) reduced significantly.

Heck even my 13700k is undervolted -0.1v with turbo boost turned off. Only will turn on boost with a click of a button when required. A lot of older games or less demanding CPU requirements don't need cpu at peak.
