let's see if local retailers will slash the 4070 price, as 4070 super will cost the same as 4070 before.. rx 7800 xt price will sit in between these two cards.

i could be wrong, coz didnt monitor the 4070 price so much. but maybe coz of 4070 prices went down gradually, until it doesnt need to be reduced after 4070 super debut? i see giga 4070 is priced closely to rx 7800 xt now.

First time hearing about Suncycle. Are they the Palit supplier and RMA handler in Malaysia? Can just use the RMA portal on their site even though I bought thru Idealtech?
*
they are the distributor for a lot of brands. can try here: https://warranty.suncycle.com.my/login

All GPUs these days got 3 years warranty. Its the matter if you can tolerate low quality builds or not. Some cards are noisy too. I would advise reading the reviews. Like these...

GPU roundup - RTX 4080 (More VRM, lower temperature and higher power limit is better):

RTX 4070 roundup:

Please also take note more VRM, better cooling and higher power limit also costs more.

Thanks for the links. Temp-wise, nothing to shout about. X3 4070 super is reasonably priced but you'll get what you pay for.

Anybody using zotac 40xx trinity with corsair 4000d case?
I'm concern about the 12vhpwr adaptor clearance with the tempered glass, whether the cable adaptor requires some bending to close the TG, or the case has sufficient clearance? Tq

which 40xx? 4090?
*
4070 super.

I just got to know corsair sells 12vhpwr bridge that pretty much solves bending problem so i might look into it lol.

4070 super no need to be scared of melted and burnt adapter, if that's what ur concerned with. it draws significantly less power than the rating limit of 12vhpwr

but if ur curious, 4000d has same CPU clearance as my 500d, which means it has equivalent GPU height clearance so I can give my 2 cents

u simply bend the section close to which it meets the tempered glass and that's all

since the 12vhpwr adapter which came alongside 4070s is only taking 2 PCIe cables, it weighs very less which will hardly be able to drag the tip up/down when compared to a 4 PCIe - 12vhpwr adapter used by a 4090 which do have enough weight to drag the connector (causing the connector to get loose - which again due to not clipping the connector firmly - and depending on the direction of the pull, the affected row would get melted).

when I had no ATX 3.0 PSU last time I simply bent the part where it meets the tempered glass. it was also taking on 4 PCIe cables which had more downwards force (4 PCIe cables coming from below) but faced no issue

ur 4070s trinity is also shorter in height (12cm), so there's really no concern at all
*
Fantastic answer. Thanks for sharing My psu is non-ATX3.0 and yes, i just need two pcie cables to connect to the 12vhpwr adaptor. 4000d looks wide enough for the slim trinity.

it has been universally agreed that the 4060 variants must be avoided at all cost. top up a bit more and get 4070 super. even the cheapest 4070 super is much better than 4060. even a 7800 xt will give more satisfaction than 4060.

Yup, not worth to pay gpu without discounts in malaysia. Lazatda having payday deals.. can shave a few hundreds discounts from the retail price.. if wait for 7.7 sale, maybe can get slightly more discounts.

Finally i got 10k in the bank but already confused which 1 to buy

The 4080 super or Samsung S24 ultra 1 TB

I not buying both😂🤣Money balance for holiday in mystery destination laugh.gif rclxms.gif

PS my 1070 ti still going strong even if certain games need 2 play "medium" setting at 1440p while i am still not even thinking of 120hz just yet wei😅😅
*
Ssve more and buy both. Btw phones have terrible 2nd hand value. Haha.
The feeling of a nice new gpu stays longer compared to new phone. Haha.

Haha interesting

I am out of the GPU loop since crypto shot up the parts price as high as RM10,000 at one point laugh.gif rclxub.gif

On a serious note, you can consider going for 4070 Super. Check out during sales (the usual 7.7 8 8 sales and now mid month sale and salary day sales) to get good discounts on a 3-fan model.

Phone? The price will go down eventually, fall faster than gpu.

are there any difference between different brands' cards? planning to upgrade to 4070S (saw 4060Ti with 16g), just get the cheapest right? also 2 fans or 3 fans?
*
the difference is in the local support and warranty. in term of performance, likely all 4070S will perform similar, however in term of cooling & noise, there are cards that perform better than other brands. if space is not an issue, get a 3 fans model. it'll run cool and quiet.

this comparison does not cover all cards available in the market, however it serves as a good reference: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/galax-ge...uper-ex/38.html

Zotac 4070S Super Trinity is quite balanced in term of price & cooling performance. Colorful is not in the list but i think it is not bad too.

i personally don't feel like waiting for the 5000 series.

Any chance that RTX 4070 Ti or 40 series will have price cut soon in Malaysia after the announcement for 50 series? Any pc parts vendor can advise ? or should i just be patient and wait for 5070 Ti
*
so far prices remain the same. need to wait for the AIB card to be available, then only can see the pricing for 40 series, by then stock also will dry up haha.
