online product opening sales have always had this problem. people use scripts to purchase them
There should have been official pre-orders for such a big product launch. How is it that the vendors have less than 5 cards on their official Lazada store for the entire country on LAUNCH DAY? Doesn't make sense.

Wouldn't that lead to the same issue? Instead of everyone rushing on launch day; they'll rush on pre-order day, no?
With pre-orders then at least everyone can queue up for it, and get them when stocks arrive.
Today the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset launched and pre-orders are open everywhere. No mad rush, everyone have the chance to order and wait for their turn when it comes out
Zotac FB page says they will periodically restock the Lazada store, but that's not transparent ..
When do refreshes usually get introduced? If stocks are this hard to get I'll probably just get the 3080 super/ti instead lol. Many people will probably do the same
Based on 20 series, 10 months. Announced and goes on sale in the same month.
If you wait that long, might get the rumored 20GB 3080 version.
Then again, if you manage to wait another 12 months, then you can get the 40 series
Well at this point there won't be any stocks for people to buy a normal 3080 lol.
Contacted many PC shops and most aren't even confident enough to take pre-orders . Even Asus customer support told me "NVIDIA is not giving many chips to us".
norm. we can look at all these bro. but how to sleep knowing asus tuf a card with that cooling and custom pcb.. rm3360 exist wei.
dis card disrupted da market. made all other aib say "oh shit".
Totally agree with you. I saw the teardown pictures and it does look amazing compared to other aibs. If only there are ready stocks HAHAH. I'll be patient and see which shop can offer pre-order

Actually 10Gb VRAM sufficient for 4K gaming? Me with a 1080 Ti that has 11Gb VRAM. I know Ampere has NVCache.
That 3080 20Gb feels IMO more future proof?
It's a mess for a launch
Remember that its sufficient for now, but who knows what next gen will be. Games will be higher fidelity, quality of assets will always go up, so more VRAM the better.
back in the day all say 780 good for 1440pzzthen 970.. then 1070.. during this time say 1080ti good for 4k.. 2080ti for 4k.
me who had all da cards.. 2080ti was the first gpu that gave 60fps min @1440p.. so dunno what ppl are smoking..
then now same thing 3080 only 20-25%faster. 3090 maybe another 20..
4k from 1440 is 225% more pixel.
so seriously would love to know what ppl are smoking.
lol
People are in for a wild ride when games go fully next gen and not cross gen. I don't see many talking about how games today are optimized and assets are developed with base PS4 and Xbox One in mind.
Well I finally put down deposit for 3080 TUF preorder. Lets see how long it actually takes to arrive. Shops all saying "preorder doesnt mean you get priority, if stock arrive and got walk in customer want to do full build, the card will go to them first"
Which is a little ridiculous but... oh well
