yeah even the base price of it, 999usd but rm5190 msrp in malaysia. Meanwhile msi claw 8 is 899usd but preorder opened on msi malaysia website for rm4299. does 100usd accounts for ~rm900 difference

but no, we will probably looking at minimum rm5.5k for cheapest cards and alot more around rm6000 😑

Seen Giga 5080 windforce at a shop {do not need bundle}. but they do not have the model i wanted.

Skipping 5090 this round. it's outrageous expensive for what it is.
Blackwell is still on 5nm.

Anyone still remember Kepler vs Maxwell ? Both on same 28nm
But with large performance difference and power efficiency.
But the same cannot be said of Ada vs Blackwell.

Thanks boss, you’re right. Am very tempted, but considering that I’ll also have to spend a lot to upgrade my PSU and probably jump from 5800x3d to AM5 so as to not bottleneck it, I think I prefer to wait for the 5070ti/9070(lel) and try to get one at half the 4090 price instead with a view to a full rebuild 4 years from now.

Speaking of which, what’s my best chance of getting a 5070ti as close to Malaysia MSRP prices (4190 IIRC), a Colorful one from one of the Low Yat stores?

Funny thing is, if ETH mining didnt self destruct by its creators, we would still be in a mining + now AI scalping alternate scary future. No GPUS would be spared as miner buying bots will sapu even 5070s & 5060s while AI players rob all the 5090 & 5080 as we seen today. This will extend to AMD GPUS too as Radeons are known to be pretty good mining ETH.

Then we would be here discussing which 3050 to get which are now being scalped for 2X the MSRP. Haha!

so far i have been using cablemod on 4080s and below, no issue. but i wouldn't risk it on 450w and above

To be honest, i think the hype prolly die down within few month once enough supply comes in, unlike the mining craze where literally every graphic card that can mine=profit, 50series mine nothing, except 5090 that actually have demand in China because of the chip ban......high price of the 5080 and 5070 Ti is totally unjustified, except for their low availability which i think nvidia learnt from Apple or during Mining craze...my only complain is that 40-series card have no sign of lowering the price or sales, before 50series comes out, like all pc shop knew that 50 series surelly have low volume, and people will go for 40series anyway
