QUOTE(Jusstatic @ Mar 13 2019, 10:06 AM) Woah what a match! Agreed with @noir7559 - Great analysis of the match. Would love to see more of this kind of play from us.Szceny (dunno how to spell Cancelo 8 - Looked nervous, offered little threated but defended well in the first half. Was a monster in the second half winning tackles, starting counter attacks, dribbling past his man and provided the superb cross for Ronaldo's second goal Bonucci 7 - Apart from one lapse of concentration that almost allowed Morata to score, he was rock solid. One of his better defensive displays of late Chiellini 7.5 - His usual beast self. Made one driving run in the second half + provided a superb ball for Moise Kean that the youngster almost scored Spinazzola 7 - Could not tell that he is making his CL debut. Assured in possession, good first touch, defended well, provided pace and repeatedly got past his man in the first half. He already played well vs Udinese that day but this performance just adds to his claim for a starting spot. He should play more games for the remainder of the season and if all goes well he must stay at the club next season. He can still improve! Pjanic 8 - Atletico surprisingly did not put a man on him! Ran the show in midfield with his silky touches and great passing. With Can and Matuidi covering him, he even got to bomb forward on a few occasions to help with the siege of Atletico's defense Can 8 - Provided superb cover for Pjanic and Spinazzola / Cancelo to bomb forward. Won the ball back on a number of occasions, kept and passed the ball well. Was big strong and aggressive. Best game since joining Juve Matuidi 8 - Matuidi is great at bombing into the box but most of the time let down by poor finishing and first touch. Allegri did superbly well this time by limiting his offensive game and asking him to stick to his strength and that is tireless running, covering of spaces and winning the ball back and laying off to his more creative teammates Bernadeschi 9.5 - Best player after Ronaldo. Was a constant torn in the side for Atletico with his dangerous crosses, close control and dribbling. Has a more superb understanding of how Ronaldo wants the ball than Dybala. He was rather poor in his decision making the past few Serie a matches but was superb in this game Mandzukic 6.5 - Played well to act as a decoy to Ronaldo and to occupy Godin and Gimenez's attention. Apart from that, he was not able to hold up the ball well or win headers against the world class duo of Godin and Gimenez. Juve's high tempo press and attack seems to not suit him well too as he gave the ball away cheaply on a number of occasion and looked slow Ronaldo 10 - The greatest CL scorer of all time barred none. The bigger the stage, the maximum the pressure the more he shows up. From 1 goal in 6 appearances to 4 goals in 7. Just when everyone is about to forget him as he is not playing for a popular BPL club or the self marketed best league in the world or Real Madrid he put in a performance to remind everyone that at 34... he is still better than all the players in Europe apart from Messi who I still rate as the best. An out of this world performance Kean - Kean will be a trump card moving to the latter stages of the competition. A player with huge potential, pace, skill and a fearless attitude. Almost scored against Atletico when put clean through by Chiellini. Missed a whisker. Scored a brace vs Udinese last week. Allegri should play him more to develop him Dybala - Played the last 15 mins... controlled the ball well, skipped past his man repeatedly. A world class talent if he can get his body balance and strength to hold of challenges right Allegri 10/10 - Most of the Juve fans including me have lambasted him for his lame, boring and timid defensive football. You dont buy a Ronaldo and play defensive. I am not sure if he was forced to play attacking but he did play it and my word, a tactical masterclass. The result not just surprised the fans I am hoping it surprised him as well. Setup his tactics with balls.... Super going forward and gave abosultely nothing to Atletico. He should now see the benfits of playing attacking in Europe. Play attacking + Ronaldo and his team will score against any opposition. Atletico has the best defense in the world. Only conceded 17 goals in la liga all season and 0 in the CL prior to this. But an attacking tactics with Ronaldo spearheading it, any team can be blown away. Ronaldo and the team has shown the way that attacking football can bring us forward. The baton is now with Allegri to continue it. Over to you Max |

Thank you @mcfly and @noir7559
Finally a smile to my face when it comes to a Juve match this season. I hope we can build on this moving forward Time for Allegri to be Mad Max - Euro Max... Ironically, our potential biggest hero and biggest enemy moving forward is ... Max Allegri himself.. if he go negative again he will be the biggest villian. if he can send the boys out with such attacking verve on a weekly basis the sky is the limit for this team This post has been edited by Jusstatic: Mar 13 2019, 01:57 PM |

Ronaldo might have all the headlines last night
but i would like to point out that in the past couple of games, we've got to witness some names whose "Juventus B squad player" getting some playing time and they proved that they deserved to be in A squad the names like Bernardeschi (as oppose to the 1st choice Dybala), Kean (as oppose to the 1st choice Mandzukic) and Spinazzola (as oppose to the 1st choice Alex Sandro) after their brilliant performance against both Udinese & Atletico, hopefully these guys will get into more action but most important thing, play to this team STRENGTH = offensive football. We all saw the result against Atleti last night, so why stop there? |

QUOTE(noir7559 @ Mar 13 2019, 08:18 PM) Ronaldo might have all the headlines last night Interesting thing is that, they are all Italians taking the place of a foreign player. As an azzurri fan also, that's got to be a good thing. We know full well we should've been at the World Cup last year and what better opportunity to get play time and experience than on European club football's biggest stage. Next year's Euro's should be a good testing ground if not going all out for the trophy.but i would like to point out that in the past couple of games, we've got to witness some names whose "Juventus B squad player" getting some playing time and they proved that they deserved to be in A squad the names like Bernardeschi (as oppose to the 1st choice Dybala), Kean (as oppose to the 1st choice Mandzukic) and Spinazzola (as oppose to the 1st choice Alex Sandro) after their brilliant performance against both Udinese & Atletico, hopefully these guys will get into more action but most important thing, play to this team STRENGTH = offensive football. We all saw the result against Atleti last night, so why stop there? I'm honestly still processing the comeback against Atletico. I mean, our history and stats said it all; pretty much no hope - but of course a true fan would still have that glimmer of light for a comeback and qualify. I haven't seen the other games from last night except for the scores and I think it'll be a tough quarterfinal opponent no matter who we draw tomorrow. |

I haven't seen the other games from last night except for the scores and I think it'll be a tough quarterfinal opponent no matter who we draw tomorrow. talking about the potential opponent for quarterfinals clash.. Juventus Head-to-heads against possible QF opponents in UEFA competition vs Ajax = W6 D4 L2 F15 A9 vs Barcelona = W3 D4 L4 F10 A13 vs Liverpool = W3 D1 L2 F5 A4 vs Man. City = W3 D2 L1 F7 A4 vs Man. United = W6 D2 L6 F17 A17 vs FC Porto = W4 D1 L0 F8 A2 vs Tottenham = W1 D1 L0 F4 A3 honestly speaking out of all those 7 teams, the "easiest" draw on paper i can think of are definitely FC Porto. I prefer Ajax too but after their performance in this season UCL (giving Bayern a run for their money in both matches in group stage and that demolition of Real Madrid in Spain), better watch em out. Tottenham might've an unfinished business with Juve and i don't mind drawing em either my least favorable draw are United(already played em in group) and three "strongest" opponents on paper in Barca, Liverpool & City |

I had to write something on Max Max (almost) did not do anything afterwards, and Juve played badly and scraping through Serie A matches. A lost to Ateletico follows with almost as bad outing (even winning) to Lazio and Napoli. Many were convinced that Max are out of ideas, and fans chanting #maxout everywhere. Based on Juve playing styles, Juve could have lost vs ateletico. Then on the matchday, Max show his class. He unleash Juve when it matters most. Nevermind few bad outing, when it matters most, he outsmart everyone. Vs Ateletico, Max knew he cannot play the normal build up from defence anymore. Atletico midfields marshalled expertly and will just close Pjanic/Dybala from space. So Max played Spinazola and Cancello very high and let Bonucci and Chiellini do long balls to them. Everyone know Bonucci can do excellent long balls, but not Chiellini. However vs Ateletico Chiello is delivering excellent long balls to the wings with very good impacts. Who could have thought that! With both Matuidi & Can splendidly covering the midfield, and Atletico just sitting back for counter, Juve can try chance after chance. So it's just matter of time before a good cross whipped in for CR7 to do his job. We would not got the goals had that be Higuain Oh, for me man of the match is Bernadeschi. Ronaldo scoring is typical of him, but Bernadeschi roaming around to look for opening and oppoturnities, thats excellent. He was able to draw fouls and crosses for the goals. Max did not need to defend for this game, so he fielded Dybala at the right time, put on Kean at the right moment as well. So 10/10 for Max, for unleashing Juve at the right moment. He let Juve suffer vs Napoli & Lazio, then adjust everything at the right time. Masterclass. For next matches, due to Max factor as well, I would really like to get good opponents, and play weak team at the finals. Max did excellent on 2-legged matches. He victored vs Barca, Spurs, Real Madrid, and almost staged good comebacks vs RM last year and Bayern few years ago. So, if Juve wants to win the final, it had to be with lesser opponents, perhaps Porto or Ajax. So quarter finals vs Man City or Barca would be excellent test for Max. He could do it. He has to |

QUOTE(zaidi @ Mar 15 2019, 10:36 AM) nice bit regarding Max. Lets hope he'll stick to that positive philosophy instead of his usual favorite "playsafe" approachQUOTE(zaidi @ Mar 15 2019, 07:25 PM) well, i'm hoping for Porto. But atleast "on paper" its better to draw Ajax instead of Liverpool, City, Barca to name a few |

Fckin disgusting display from the whole team.
Perin sucked at the first goal. Rugani and Bonucci are hopeless. Letting a 35 years old Pandev to run past them? Lol Caceres is a backup, no issue. Sandro and Berna are over hitting every ball while Cancelo is under hitting them. Spinazzola is trying too hard for unnecessary showboating. Bentancur and Pjanic are waiting for Armageddon to pass the ball. Dybala is no leader and he can't carry the team. Don't even give me the excuse of a tiring body and mind after the ATM game. We should have started the game with our bench players instead of this horror show. |

And Genoa was the answer considering the points lead the team can be complacent a bit in the league and focus in UCL but not the point of downing the team morale |

Man, just when I finally get to watch on the Myanmar App.
I don't know about excuses but I think, we are still hungover from the Atletico game. We seemed to be playing all right until after the the disallowed goal. While I hate that the unbeaten streak has ended, I guess it isn't so bad considering our points lead and that we really should be focusing on the UCL. Not a nice way to start the international break but maybe a good way to re-group. We've had a pretty intense few months, so maybe the break will be good. And we usually come back with a bang. |

when Juve has 0 shot on goal, that's disastrous outing, but with +16 who cares
max is back on experiment mode again, started 3-5-2 which he had not used for quite some time since ronaldo arrival. I hope it's just failed experiment. |
