yeap, not to discredit Max whatsoever, but i think right now the quote from The Dark Knight are spot on

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

i think its about time Agnelli & Co try to do a different approach for UCL. Max's method already tried & tested and its all the same ol' same ol' every season

regardless of who they appoint as Juve manager next, that person probably gonna win the Scudetto, or alteast ahve 70% chances of winning it, but at this point
of time fans didn't really care about the prospect of Juve winning another Scudetto (yet again), but we're craving for that UCL trophy really..really bad
*
Yea man, we need to try something different I think. Papers are saying we were outclassed by Atletico, which maybe to me, I don't think so because from what I saw we stood toe to toe with them. Only difference was they made the most of their chances and scored, via their defenders no less.

Seems like the club is getting a lot of flack for the defeat against Atletico. You know how the media in Italy likes to dissect everything till no end. I mean, they had their own version of VAR since the mid to late 90s for goodness sake.

I just hope we react strongly with a win against Bologna.

I can't remember which FB page it was, but it appeared on my feed that statistically speaking, we have never come back from a 2-0 loss in the UCL knock-out stages.

Let's hope we prove statistics wrong.

I'm right there with you bro. Really hoping Allegri changes things up and produces a clinical Juve in the second leg. There is still hope for sure.

Saw the potential line up for Bologna and Ronaldo isn't there, maybe Allegri is resting the dude.

i think at this time, Max could've field up the entire starting lineup with Primavera players against Bologna and some of the fans wouldn't care that much,
considering the Scudetto is always for Juve to lose instead of Juve to win it laugh.gif

for me personally all i can think about is the return leg against Ateltico

Coppa is done and dusted

Scudeto....Juve could probably dropped 10pts in a row and still win it

all that matters now is how they gonna bounce back in UCL.

I think we are all in agreement that we want the UCL more than anything this season. Almost a three week wait till the second leg though; should allow us some time to put in good performances in the league and prepare.

Time to rally behind our boys tonight.

Is astro airing the game? I found out last week that Reddit soccerstreams was clamped down and no longer streaming. Which links do you guys use?

Something funny going on at astro. Fox sports title says Bologna vs Juve but the match shown is Torino vs Atalanta...hmm.

Thanks for these.

Saw the highlights and it looked like a good game but every report about the game says otherwise. Especially how uninspired we were, lacking ideas, missed passes, tired etc.

I think everyone's mind is on the Atletico return leg.

that match were far from the actual good. Even Dybala's goal got a bit of luck involved

by the way they're playing against Bologna, we're as good as out of UCL (and...i hope they prove me wrong)

No disrespect to Bologna, but weren't they thrashed 4-0 by Frosinone not too long ago? And we managed a 1-0 win with a luck goal and we even had CR7 on the field.

I'm trying to stay positive but it's so hard.

Are we becoming too demanding on our boys?

Bologna has been hot & cold this season, usually cold. This is the same team who beaten Inter 1-0 at San Siro, yeap, also losing 4-0 to Frosinone at home

a 2-1 win scoreline for Bologna seems a "fairer" result but as lucky and as underperforming as Juve can be, a win is still a win

*blue part, u and me both. And i'm sure most Juve fans feeling the same

*purple part, i think its all starts with the manager. Just look at Man United who turned 180 degree after Solksjaer appointed as their manager

It's incredible that we won Hehe.

Anyway, I think we've become so accustomed to Juve winning that anything short of a win would be a disaster for us. I guess you could say that we are...spoilt? Hehe.

I hope this one week break will allow the team to recover both mentally and physically. We've got our direct rivals next week and we need a win against them to widen the gap and as a confidence booster.

Yeah about the clamp on reddit soccerstreams, they finally caught them I guess, oh well.

Thanks for the well wishes; don't downplay Man Utd's chances, it is a totally different team with Solksjaer now.

this is not just about winning and when losing it is not just about losing. No team can win forever but it was the way we lost. we did not lose trying, we did not lose fighting for it.. instead we lost playing cowaradly, lame and 0 determination. that is not on the players but on the manager. Like I mentioned, allegri grew increasingly timid with each passing year. You dont buy a ronaldo to play defensive football and still have no confidence that you can outscore your opponent. This is not just a problem vs atletico but vs the weak serie a clubs as well. Yes we won but the way we won was most of the time lucky, playing even timid football against these minnows. So how did we win? Coz our talent is too superior not to win. Its like you buy a ferrari and drive at 170 while normal cars drive at 130, 140, 150. Yes 170 is very fast but with a ferrari you drive 200km/h+

Defensive solid football wins you league. I agree. But in cup games like in the UCL attack win you cups. You dont try to control games, keep it solid, full backs stay back at all times, 9 men behind the ball vs the likes of psg, real, barca, liverpool. You can get away with it playing against frosinone, genoa coz they cant break our defense down.. but vs those super attacking teams we should play attack as well and may the best attack wins. Defending got us no where against barca, real, fc bayern. We were always thrashed except for that 3-0 win vs barca where we really took the game to them and attacked them resulting in them losing 3-0. In europe you attack and in the italian leage we should be winning convincingly. We have the players to do it, its not like we have matri and llorente upfront. Even our weak midfield should still be able to dominate serie a matches as well but we are not doing it. What is worse is we play boring, lame and lucky football and we can still get 13 pts over napoli.. This either shows our opponents are so weak or our individual talent is so strong even we can win with handbrakes on

I say thank you to Allegri, grateful to what he has done but his cycle is over. We need new approaches if we want to challenge in UCL. Some ppl might think we still have a chance vs atletico, not over until the fat lady sings.. Well, its definitely over if we still try to play defensive. Atletico's defense is better than ours so our cautious approach of slow tempo, slow build up, 10 men behind the ball will not cut it. We will only go through if allegri decides to bomb both full backs all the time, all midfielders bomb into box except pjanic and give it a good go at high tempo. We might end up losing 4-3 or 6-5 but at least thats a better defeat than the lame shit we have been served for whole season so far laugh.gif

And also ya we are abit spoilt with always winning the serie a but we are juve and we have the players to do it. we should always aim to win something bigger and better.. thats call progress. it is the same in a company as well to stay relevant. Thats life thumbsup.gif

Well said man, I think the key point (and I am personally in conflict with my own self about this) is that Allegri's cycle is over. Grateful for what he's done is a surety and no joke in the league but we need a different kind of football in the UCL. Something a lot more pro-active and attacking minded. Like you said, we bought Cristiano not to play defensive football man.

Unless Allegri turns things around with a drastically different approach, we might have a real chance at overcoming Atletico in Turin. Would be nice to win the UCL with Allegri, if this truly is his last season with us. When he was first appointed to replace Conte, in my mind, I was thinking 'no way' Milan had just sacked him and we're hiring him? But truth be told, he proved me wrong many times and I was a happy camper for a while, until the prospects of winning the UCL became stronger and stronger.

Anyway, why in the world are we still linked with Icardi?! Please tell me the Paratici and the board aren't serious?!

@Jusstatic already elaborated some of the parts with a simple but concrete explanation above

as for me personally, maybe, after used to seeing Juve winning domestically year after year after year, i want this team to get to that another level, along the line with the likes
of Real Madrid, Barcelona & FC Bayern. What's all those team got in common? They've all won the UCL for the past 5-6 years

hence why i said b4, the Scudetto is not for Juve TO WIN, but for Juve TO LOSE

its the UCL we WANT, we NEED, and we're CRAVING the most
