Football Italia seems to report it's a done deal. Higuain to Milan and Caldara - Bonucci swap. Is Bonucci that much better than Caldara?
*
in terms of current ability bonucci is better than caldara.. in terms of potential ability caldara might be even better than bonucci's current ability.. fact is we are losing a very high potential italian defender sad.gif dry.gif

seems like it but if we dont win the CL, we will end up losing caldara. i am ok with higuain leaving but caldara will be a loss. besides, bonucci will not give us a big boost in the CL although the mgmt seems to think otherwise.. oh well.... unsure.gif
*
perhaps his long pass that seems to attracted Juve to try to resign him

without him Juve did well in the domestic competition, even scoring more compared to previous 2 seasons

well, one thing i'm certain, Bonucci already knew how to play in Max gameplan, but whether he gonna be the same player b4 he left, or the husk who played as Milan's captain..is yet to be seen

Caldara got the potential to be one of the best

That is what I'm worried about. Would it be right to say that maybe Juve is going for the short term success in going all out to win the CL this season?

And Vidal to Inter? Man, so many plot twists this transfer market.

I guess we're taking Bonucci back for his 'big game' experience; but still, to lose such a promising young talent like Caldara...like I mentioned in my earlier post, just feels like a face-palm moment. But what do I know right?

thing is, i feel we should move on from depending on bonucci's long passes. He is afterall still a defender and not a pass master midfielder. while his long passes are good, he is still a defender first still... i feel he has regressed at milan defensively and he is also 31 now. i mean come on, how many old defenders do we need. besides, we now have freaking C RONALDO! is max going to defend a 1 nil lead against chievo or genoa again? i am honestly worried about max's tactics. will his tactics cause a fallout between himself n ronaldo? i mean even when we go 2 or 3 nil up we will stop playing n try to show "respect" to opponents by not scoring further. this is definitely not the ronaldo way. to win the CL, we need ronaldo at top form, at top happiness, with full support

also, the vidal news makes our bonucci all the more worse. if we are to bring back a former player, we should be looking at pogba or vidal, not freaking bonucci doh.gif

the bolded part

that "respect" thingy is a crap. Like seriously who cares about "respecting" ur opponents. If other team can score 6 or 7 against us, they would happily do so

great teams like Bayern, Barca, Real wouldn't hesitate to put 6 or 7 past their opponent when they can

So apparently Higuain is stalling over the deal? He would prefer Milan to buy him outright rather than a loan deal + option to buy. Plus he wants 9mil a year in wages. So if he doesn't agree, the Bonucci <--> Caldara swap won't happen. Would he be surplus anyway? I mean, who's our attacking line up this season... CR7, Dybala, Higuain, Costa and Cuadrado? Top teams have world class strikers even on their bench. All the better chances to win the UCL.

yeah, hopefully all the deal collapse. I'm counting on it to happen

as for the attacking lineup, except Mandzukic & Cristiano, Higuain is our third target man

Cristiano is already proven in UCL, but when it comes to Serie A, Higuain is another beast. His goalscoring record against
the likes of Roma, Inter, Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio....and especially Napoli, prove crucial for Juve in retaining the Scudetto

and not to mention most of our attackers are injury prone with Dybala, Costa, Bernardeschi usually on that list. Cuadrado sometimes became the
makeshift wingback/fullback

at the bolded part, yep, team depth. I know Juve try to balance the book, but signing an "expensive" defender like Bonucci didn't really made
sense when Juve didn't really lost anything when they sold him last season..hence why this deal still baffles me at first place confused.gif

Man I was hoping also, but looks like Higuain has agreed. No buy-back clause for Caldara either. Bonucci is going to have to win back the hearts of the fans that's for sure.

Damn, I forgot about Mandzukic! I guess he played all over the pitch last season I didn't view him as a striker.

That header of a goal against Inter during the second half of the season...

and its a done deal

i got some feeling dat Pipita will score against Juve in the future, and i wouldn't blame him one bit if he celebrated that goal "Inzaghi style" bcoz of the way the club "kicked" him out

FFP reason yada yada

as for Bonucci...didn't excited one bit. As for the matter of fact, the hype of signing Cristiano now vanishes in the thin air

some say signing bonucci signifies that we are very serious about the CL. but i can hardly agree

first, bonucci is not the best defender in the world. we hardly misses him last season.
second, yeah his passes are good but seriously? are we relying on a defender to unlock defenses?
third, i agree the re-signing of bonucci has really taken off alot of the hype surrounding ronaldo. i mean we should be signing another top midfielder to complement ronaldo. not an old 31 year old former player + losing caldara and higuain. our midfield still remains very weak. ronaldo needs service and our team is not going to retain possession well with matuidi, can and khedira. we cant win no CL with them three

we should have sign godin for 20 mil euros, re-sign vidal for another 20mil euros, sell higuain and retain caldara instead rolleyes.gif

this actually a brilliant piece of work

anyway another "win" for Juve in the USA tour. Having support this team for a long time Juve rarely did well
in pre-season. Last match against Real Madrid b4 the team heading back to Italy

To me, since all the deals are confirmed then I'll just just standby the club's decisions. I support the club as a whole after all.

I used to dislike CR7 but since he's 1 of us now, I'll just support him just like every other players. The same goes to Leo.

Compare to Leo, If Vidal does sign for Merda then he's much deserves to be hated and boo-ed by the ultras. So much for the "I won't join any club other than Juve in Italy".

PS: I wonder how he'll cover that scudetto tattoo he did from winning it with us biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

yeah.. we beat MLS all stars on penalties. last season, a team with ronaldo (real madrid) beat MLS stars on penalties as well and they went on to win the UCL. this year, our team has ronaldo and we beat MLS all stars on penalties too icon_idea.gif biggrin.gif

I dunno what to say guys, for the last 7 years, Marotta, Nedved and Paratici have done some pretty good work on the transfer market. I would like to think that they know better than us fans. But, you never know, we might be right after all about disagreeing with the Bonucci deal which basically cost us two players.

The season is starting soon and to me at least, although I don't really see the logic behind this Bonucci deal, it would be a waste of my energy to channel it towards disliking this guy - although deep inside I think I do, especially after how he left us etc. But it's a done deal and time will tell how he redeems himself, if he even manages to do so.

Kinda sucks that, like many of you said, this really does take the hype off the CR7 signing. But hey, hopefully when he starts scoring like nobody's business, starts being the game-changer we all know he can be, we can all forget about the Bonucci deal and if Bonucci does well and solidifies our defence, so be it.
