1 more improvement to my std N73 with latest V4 FW...
Previously I had given up all hope of ever using Voice Commands to call up/activate functions...I get all kinds of WRONG results!

NOW, I can activate my BT, preferred Profiles, Camera, etc by long pressing the Right Soft Key and using my own voice! An PERFECT match each time!!

How abt yu guys?

N73's camera module can't do that.
Eg. You can't install a software to make ur com's RAM increase from 1GB to 2GB.
It is a hardware constraint.

Hi,

I have problem with my navigator key. I can press left, right, up or even down. But, I can't press to "select" (Centre). After I complaint with the shop they ask me to remove the memory card and try. It sort of work again (I can press to select the menu). So, they said I'm being infected by virus? Is this true?

Is there anyway to fix it?

Yeah, it's 4X. So, should be something wrong with the phone maybe...


If it's working fine after removing the memory card then it shd be some infection. I heard that there's no virus yet for 3rd edition but that was months ago. Now maybe possible...

Re batt charger, I'm using an ACP 12E with adapter...Output 800mA only but Fully charges in abt 2 hrs fr empty!

Re virus protection, AFAIK only F-Secure has an AV prg for S60 V3 phones. Why are the other companies so slow in coming out with their own support?
Trend Micro provides a free copy of their own Mobile AV prg for their users but ONLY for S60 V2 phones...

I've tried to remove it again. But, seem like it's still a bit slow reaction, do u think it's still the virus that's making all the problem?

hi everybody, i have a problem with my n73, yesterday some of my applications went missing because of an expired certificate. i tried to reinstall them but failed as the expired certificate message keeps popping out. then i have downloaded newer version of the apps and manage to install them. but afterwards my phone felt slower and the memory card seems to get even slower than before. so i tried to format the memory card. after formatting, i tried to transfer in the pictures i used to have in the card with nokia software suite and the message "item in use" keeps coming out. then i took out the card and used a card reader to transfer the pictures in. it was successful but 2 of the pictures are broken, where the colors are whack and another is both halves of 2 different pictures. is this a case of memory card malfunction or issit my phone? thanks in advance

anyone came across this issue where both caller and receiver hear their own voice echoes when calling the n73 phone?

It is not the phone issue. More related to service provider issue due to bad network coverage.

can anyone gimme some url on how to start n73 from scratch.. u know format it,tweak it.... any recommended urls? ive seen topic but so many links, someone mind sharing one really good one.

For the benefit of those who use Apple computers, N73 and N70 can work with iSync w/o any problems at all but the N73 cannot send or receive sms where the N70 can. File/photos transfer w/o problems. Actually do not need PC Suite except for installing software. In fact the sync is much more smoother than a Windows machine.

Hi guys, this is the biggest problem that i've ever encounter before.

Problem: Can't receive/send sms. Sometimes can send, but, delivery report shows Pending status and i still can't receive sms.

What i have tried to solve it? : I have reformat it with the code *#7370# and it works fine. But, after i restore my backup, the problem occured. So, i go and change the Messaging Settings of Preferred Conn from GSM/UMTS to Packet Data and vice versa. I try changing the settings here and there but still can't solve it. Anyone can help me?

i suggest u update your firmware, if u already have the latest firmware, just re-updated it....
this helps on my friends N73

Yeah, they will not create a software which will not benefit them (give profit). Currently not much virus created for 3rd edition, so who will buy their software?
But soon you can see some antivirus software for 3rd edition

Yup, can be used to scan your memory card only & chances are 90% to fully clear all the problems. What if the virus has already spread to the phone memory?
If still got problem then you have to reset your phone after removing memory card

Yeah, *#7370# can fix it. Just that after restoring my back up, it hits back to the problem. Sigh.. I have contacted the boss who sell me the phone. He claims that a lot of people facing this problem. I received 11 messages right after i formatted my phone. Now running good without any softwares. Sigh. Thanks anyway bro.

Btw, how to disable the phone from installing automatically.[ after restart, when it comes to the main display, it will have "INSTALLING~~~~" , how to disable that?? Thx.

Obviously there must be problem with ur backup, data confilct etc. Try installing from scratch..

Beware that all ur data on memcard n phone will be wipe off.

1) first format ur mem card (format it on phone)
2) removed memcard.
2) format ur phone *#7370# OR press and hold *,3,green button then press power on.
3) insert memcard ( ur problem that asking for INSTALLING etc will gone )
4) start installing all ur apps etc.

I alway done this, after each fw upgrade or when format my phone. and i do not RESTORE anything from backup.
The result will be good functional phone with no crash etc..

is this sms problem solely with N73 vanilla or N73ME also has the same plague?
