i treat gadgets as consumables nowadays. I dont need it to be in pristine condition after 2 years. Anyhow i will change it in 18 months. Why let the next owner enjoy a brand new look device? lol, that's just me anyway

Now most of s9/9+ on paper is perfect except for battery size and the price. Hope to see 3000mah battery perform great just like 4000mah one.

That will not happen for sure with TW.

I dont see it that way, I see it as higher resell value. If you are a 2nd hand buyer if you have two choice will you a phone with scratches or additional RM100 - RM200 for a near perfect with no scratches

Same here. I'll just use the phone to fullest possible. Just too bad, not much can last 1 year mark. Haha.

Based on the initial reviews, looks like it will have a good battery life since Samsung limits CPU and GPU clocks. The new raw exynos is simply overpowered hence their decision would be reasonable plus to match with Snapdragon variant of it. Anyway we don't know if that's the final setup until retail units are out.

Yeah, been watching most of hands on review. I'm positive there's some improvement on battery performance on s9 or s9+.
If not, that would be a very dissappointment.

Yes, that additional 200 is like to pay back the cost of you buying expensive screen protector. So practically u get similar amount with me who don't buy sp.

But anyway both is right.. i used to be freak out when my phone is naked too.. i remember my previous S7e, only 1st month of usage, naked, fall on tar road, makes me really heartbroken, sold it off, bought another one, then the new one wrap it like crazy front back.. but end up gave up too bcoz there were simply no good sp to use..

Snapdragon is for US market surely to boast off their high speed downstream and upstream connectivity with qualcomm's new chip. Samsung's Exynos soc solution suffices the need of Asian market and other non US market.

how true.
if security is concern, then any android is not right (except blackberries perhaps).

best is iphone certainly. even fbi needs to pay usd 1 mil to access data.

some more the faceid is 1 in a million.

You said if it is security is concern, then iris scanner is a clear winner here.

As for the so-called "impervious" face id...

I had Oreo on my ex Mi A1 and I found it to be less power efficient compared to Nougat before I updated though. Don’t know if it was some setting or some rogue app. Anyways, I believe they just updated the S8 and S8+ with Oreo (before pulling it and reinstating it again) so maybe your Note 8 update is 3 months away or so biggrin.gif

Its fair price for those who dont have the confidence to install it themselves

Considering whitestone dome costs around the same or similar price if no promo

For rm200 it's ok if someone is doing it for us lol

Yeah, oreo itself is, but the app we use daily aren't. I hope to stick with Nougat on my mate10pro if possible.
Nothing much to gain on Oreo for me, except if I'm using Pixel phones.

Some apps are still not optimized for Oreo, will lead to unnecessary wakelock and weird behavior.
Too bad we got nothing much can do regarding this.
