Its all depend on dog breed. Not all dog breed suitable for applying oil onto their coat. Its will make it worst. If you own Silky, & have no problem with Indian Smell around ur house, Pure Coconut Oil is very good for their coat. Finally, Charlie ears fully erected today

six i think.
And about the furball stucking inside her throat, here's the advise i get :-
[ From what you describe, it seems your dog having problem with furball. It is more common in cat than dog. The best advise i can give is to groom your dog regularly. Get yourself a hand or curry comb to remove as much hair as possible. The more hair you remove, the less your dog will swallow. I am serious about this part about grooming your dog often..
Silky terrier has long and many fine hair. Once it is swallow it is difficult to get it out. Usually it is nothing serious as it will come out when your dog defecate. However if your dog start to gag and vomiting hair ball, you may try some petroleum base formula. You can look up some formula in pet shop to give it a try first. It will help to relieve the hair in the whole gastric intestinal system and comes out by defecation.
If the hair is too much in the stomach, your dog may need to be operated to help remove it. This is very serious case. In serious case, a dog will not eat or will not defecate more than 3 days. Basically the gastro-intestine is jam.
Let do the simple thing first. Groom your dog everyday. Remove all the hair you can find in the house. ok? ]
What's petroleum formula?
