Technically Bigpay is now having a few gateways, not always BIGPAY-EC with MCC6540, the description of transaction (eg a new one: BIGPAY MY-ECOM) and MCC for each top-up can be different, if you are unfortunate being diverted to MCC48** then not eligible for CB. It is beyond you can control.

Nothing to do with UOB.
Bigpay's system decide which channel being diverted to. Just like you give a cheque to someone, he can deposit at any bank he likes which you cannot get your bank to interfere. smile.gif

I think you can call UOB to check the MCC once the transaction is posted. Most of the time still 6540.

Not all the Bigpay transactions are the same.
Some Bigpay transactions are attached with unfavourable MCC which UOB Yolo won't give cashback.

Eg you have a credit card which gives cashback on groceries transaction. You go to a supermarket, the cashier is having a few credit card machines with different MCC (not all of them with groceries MCC). The cashier can choose anyone of the machines which may or may not give you groceries cashback. smile.gif sad.gif

MCC is assigned by the Bigpay's service providers including Maybank (BIGPAY-EC KUALA LUMPUR MY) (MCC 6012/6051/4xxx) and RHB (BIGPAY MY-ECOM KUALA LUMPUR MY) and others.
Beyond you or UOB can control or change the MCC.
When you top-up using your UOB Yolo, Bigpay will divert you to one of Maybank's channels (not only one!) or RHB's for OTP verification. If you want to confirm you will get an online CB, call UOB and ask for the MCC for each transaction! doh.gif

If I am not wrong, there are 3 possibilities (different MCC) for BIGPAY-EC. Call UOB to find out the MCC after you top-up Bigpay.

No real-time update to credit card accounts, all the banks are doing it (except Public Bank). You can view your transactions in the following day.
