QUOTE(MGM @ Sep 22 2025, 05:29 PM)
Spend 700 online/spaylater, 1300 on shopeepay topup.
*
Sorry to revisit this topic again for EVOL.
Must it be RM 700+1300? Also, 1300 must be e-wallet top up?

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Oct 14 2025, 03:27 PM)
Did you spend anything or you did not use the card at all to be entitled to waiver?
*
I did spend but definitely not enough for the minimum spending.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Oct 14 2025, 03:31 PM)
VI PB or VI? šŸ˜›
*
Just a normal VI. I'm not a PB customer in any banks. Too poor. rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(MGM @ Oct 14 2025, 04:16 PM)
Ewallet topup cb capped at RM15, so need at least rm300.
Total cb is rm50, so left rm35 cb earned from online txn of rm700. And min retail spent to get rm50 cb is 2k, so balance of 1k can be anything not in the exclusion list, and ewallet topup is most convenient to me.
*
Ah noted, thanks for that! I will do the same then.

QUOTE(TongCN @ Oct 14 2025, 04:57 PM)
RM300 - ewallet = RM15
RM700 - spending online = RM35

So if dun wan "real spend" for rest of RM1,000... come, reload to my shopeepay and reward me biggrin.gif
* just kidding, normally just RM1.3k into e-wallet
*
laugh.gif I will reward myself. tongue.gif
But thanks, now I got it. Really feel wasted of paying RM 25 SST if I'm not using it but I want to continue holding UOB card... hmm.gif

Did you tell them anything specifically? I told them I am not using the card anymore and they just proceed to cancel haha.
*
Nope. I just told him that I noticed there was an AF being charged, and asked if there's any chance I can get a waiver. He put me on hold and came back to tell me that it is possible and will be waived in two working days.

Anybody know if buying China High speed rail ticket from 12306 get 10x uni points with UOB VI?
*
I paid with Alipay I think though I used the app to buy. I don't usually check my points but I don't see any issue so long charged in foreign currency.

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Oct 22 2025, 11:37 AM)
from trip.com? i thought it charge in RM. If you charge by RMB, not worth to get 10x point as high conversion foreign fees
*
From 12306, the official rail app.

Just now suddenly I received an OTP request for my VI, to spend HKD 20,713.76 @ Cebu Air. sweat.gif Quickly went into UOB app to block the card.

Called CS and asked what to do next since I already blocked the card, he said it still needs to be replaced because if I continue using the card and if there are other fraud charges, bank is not liable for them.

Since I seldom use this card so I’m OK to get everything replaced. Will receive within 3-5 working days.

If you ever used the card on apps or website, the card details and your detailed infos are on hacker hands, hacker dont use the card details, they sell the info on telegram or darkweb to willing buyers.

Bank knows this and they couldn't do anything except to block the transaction and issue new card for you if you ever reported it.

To increase the security, try to use apple pay or google pay for transaction authentication.
Gpay pass the virtual card number to app/website, which is different from physical card.
the virtual card details are useless to hackers.
Anyway most bank credit card security functions still way behind some e-wallet eg Wise and Revolut.
Both have fine grained control to enable/disable card functions, even if your card info leaked, you still can use it for ATM withdrawal, without disable the whole things.
For oversea, i use Google pay as much as possible, for contactless.
*
My last transaction was in Feb-March when I swiped it physically in Spain/Portugal.

I always use Apple Pay but UOB Malaysia doesn’t support Apple Pay yet.

Anyway, it’s not a big deal. I used to have a lot of fraud attempts on my CIMB TWE in the past too. That was the worst. laugh.gif I also had once before on UOB PME. Since I don’t have any auto-billing, so it’s not an issue to get it replaced.

Do you mean you swiped it on terminal?
Probably got duped when swiping, looks like EU credit card fraud are worse.

I used to have a lot of attempts on my debit card and my grab master card too.
some are small amount like 10 SGD or few cents in Indonesia, grab card fraud attempt where blocked few times, one in Australia, one in US, range to 200 to 400 USD, both attempt blocked and Grab CSO called me just to confirm if it was me lol.
*
Yes, physical swipes. Again I might use it to buy my bus/train tickets via online site before I went to Spain and Portugal but that was either in end of last year early this year.

Not a big deal for me just the inconvenience. For debit cards, I never use them most of them so I’m safe from it.

Link your UOB PRVI Miles Elite Card to the Grab app on your mobile device. Redeem a complimentary ride home within Klang Valley from KLIA Terminal 1 when you complete 3 overseas transactions.

Promo code: UOBKLIA80

Can I ask is this FCFS? I think I saw some posts earlier that it cannot be redeemed. I used twice in the past, it was OK.

I will use AA this time, so it will land in KLIA2, I guess I need to go to KLIA1 to use this Grab promo?

Just take kl express train from t2 to t1. Then take free grab. That how I did it
*
I wanted to but my flight will reach past midnight which the service stops that time. I will take the free shuttle bus, still not a big deal since I will only have a hand carry luggage this time.

There is free shuttle bus from T1-T2-LTCP. Every 15min.
*
Yes which I never use before as I never travel between two terminals. laugh.gif
This time will try already since it is past midnight the train will not be in service at that time.

QUOTE(fuzzy @ Nov 26 2025, 02:05 PM)
Not worth waiting. T2-LTCP-T1 overall takes around 20-30mins due to the overall waiting and stopping time.

Just pay the RM2 and get there fast.
*
Yes but if your flight only reaches at midnight, that's the only option you have. smile.gif

Managed to redeem the free RM 80 Grab ride from KLIA 1 with ease. I guess it is refreshed on monthly basis because when I used it on Saturday, it showed 2 days left or something.

Wondering what is the quota because I still can use it on 29th Nov. Nevertheless, always love this benefit. Already used a couple of times this year.

Are you asking if the quota is for you or for all UOB users?
Per user one month twice only, i guess you know.

But no one knows if they might had set, say 1000 vouchers for a month for all UOB users.
Then if you are unlucky 1001...the no more voucher.
This is we dont know ya.
*
Ya, maybe there is a quota for overall as well. laugh.gif

overseas need to swipe 3 times right.
after swipe also not showing means...can be quota or system glitch.
*
I doubt the system is intelligent enough to know if you have swiped thrice before you can apply the code. It is done later in the backend by UOB. If you don't swipe thrice overseas, then RM 80 (or the actual cost) will be charged to you.
