chances of stranger knowing you applied uob card and purposely come to take your ic/thumbprint, is very low la
some banks are doing that. even when you apply at branch, it could be ANOTHER TEAM that handles the in-person visit/verification.
if you want to think too much, too far, and too deep .... most of the things that you apply nowadays requires you to submit your NRIC copy, right? so, how much are you going to worried?
