just tested free grab. i took kl express from T2 to T1, then order grab. its work and no need pay. no need key in code . auto available the code when payment is uob cc and u just select the offer code

Yes. Make sure u call CS as most ccard will get blocked when use with alipay / weixin pay after several transaction.
I did call cs so i got best experience when use at china early this month. it work great & awarded 10x

ask for split smaller charge . dont exceed when use alipay for every transaction.

Better setup both : Alipay and weixin pay before travel. Some merchant use diff payment.
Weixin - limited to 3 card (green card)
Alipay - can put more than 3 card. You can set priority payment and rename card. Can get summary of total expenses and category. You can export out as well. (blue card)
There is one time merchant help me to pay from alipay to his wechat (cross payment). If one cc failed, it will help you to failover to next cc. Therefore advice to put more cc inside

Make sure both are verified with passport before travel.

Alipay also can get metro and bus qr for payment. I prefer alipay as more friendly to non chinese people. Weixin sometime in chinese, so i use another phone to do translation. Didi also in Alipay (English)

Bring 2 phones . one for help u to do translation (non chinese). Download the language first.
Use MY roaming so u dont get block on their firewall. No need vpn.

Some tips:
a) Use Amap - navigation (english friendly)
b) Apple Map work. Amap better.

If you know chinese, then no major issue compare to me.

the card show qr on merchant, then u know it is wechat or alipay when payment and know which method to use.

It is every payment. hardly reach 200RMB, unless attraction or you buy expensive stuff.

12x is certain countries, other not listed countries is 10x

1 person cannot have 2 same UOB card type. You need to see which offer code to use on different UOB cc types.
Must use same offer + UOB cc. If offer code same, then when u select the cc, it will know how many quota to which cc

for me now not worth it. now uob got spending amount for annual fees to waive. i just use pme for oversea, enjoy grab car benefit and lounge.

well reported before. sometimes when quota end, then cannot redeem. uob need to top up

if u refer to previous post, nothing u can do. make sure u got uob card in grab and select as payment. then click offer. see if it is there. else type the offer code (must at klia1)
