I got my RN5 from physical Mi Store.

So far never had any ads appearing.

I believe those that have ads are phones usually bought as AP sets. Usually those are cheaper.
*
how about those shops selling the RN5 and giving original xiaomi malaysia warranty?

shops like 1 gadget, 7 mobile or switch solutions?

buying from the above stores can be consider as official malaysia set right?

i plan to get from those shops as they're slightly cheaper than official Mi store

Facing google play service issues on Redmi Note 5 to play on aDrama apps, try clear cache/data but do not avail. Anyone encounter it after upgraded latest fw?

just wanna ask note 5 owners here.

i have no experience with miui or xiaomi phones.

is miui really that bad?

read in other forums they claim miui have many unnecesary ads, bloatware etc. which is affecting the phone performance

can we disable all this on the note 5?

i'm not sure whether to get the note 5 or the Mi A2
*
Alot of comments about miui and emui being bad is exaggerated by users here.

I have used many phones and so far miui and emui i have no issues. Easy to nice to use. Not sure why ppl say its bad.

Not that bad or bloated. Im coming from stock vanilla android and for me MIUI is still acceptable for me. Their extra software also useful, like remote control, cleaner, screen recorder, QR scanner, compass.
*
I come from A1 and find MIUI nice to use with plenty of useful built-in features.

Yes they are official Malaysia sets. Just make sure it says original Xiaomi Malaysia warranty.

Redmi Note 6 Pro is slightly faster even though same spec soc with RN5. Can look at comparison at YouTube.
Even the camera VIDEO has better HDR and portrait mode.
Dark areas are brigther.

hrm, are they trying to go the oneplus route releasing 2 models per year? 6 pro might as well be called 5s pro coz the spec is so similar, only adding a notch. sweat.gif

This year is bezelless arms race, the china manufacturers keep releasing new model when supplier can mass produce the new tech. Tall screen then notch then tear drop panel. laugh.gif

oppo ui looks nice but style apple.

u mean ColorOS?
no... so many restriction for example it only allow max 5 apps for autostart to save battery.
then the device manager also didnot allow some apps to run and annoying popup cannot turn it off.
for me MIUI give a lot of freedom and customization suit to my need.
