buy new set, go home and change the regulator first, test the speed first, if still the same then change the fan too.

you can also try to change the fan capacitor first if it give you problem spinning.

Panasonic still got, saw at Giant before. The topkek part is the blade is exposed, looks so cincai they cut the box and polystyrene in half, so only the regulator, motor wrapped properly, the blade is not fully wrapped. I believe it's originally a combo of 2, but cut in half to sell 1 by 1.

Does your fan has remote control? If it has, you have to remove the old regulator.

there are 2 types of regulator.
1. wire coils - very very old type. check for broken wire.
2. capacitors - series in connection. any one spoilt all won't work

run it at speed 5 for 1 or 2 min. then try to slow it down. Like an airplane lol

Buy new one. Less than rm200 plus workmanship.

Can use for years. For your own room also.

Normally. the defect is more to specific range of capacitance value. Hence, no. 5 may still be able to run. Yes, please make sure everything is off before touching it.

I had same issue for slow speed fan and "wong wong" sound.
for.KDK fan. I change the 3 capacitor which I bought from lelong as I do not know how to diagnose the issue. Issue resolved and works good till now.
