I wonder anybody actually aware that Flextronics in Penang shut down very frequently.
The most important thing is... It deducts employee annual leave during shutdown period. The frequency of shutdown is about 1-2 days a month.
New hire has no annual leave during probation period. End up... the new hire will have negative annual leave!!!!
As such... employee is forced to apply unpaid leave whenever they need to on leave...!! OMG~~~~
Isn't this violate Malaysia Labour Law??
Added on April 30, 2008, 9:11 pmWorking environment in Flextronics is very strict where you have to scan-in-out everyday punctually before 8 am. Their cultural is... even 8 am is considered late. Every month end you will receive a scan-in-out report, you and your supervisor have to sign...
If unfortunately you are short of 1 min, your salary will be deducted by 1 day. You will then receive an unpaid leave report - where you have to get the signature of IT director & also VP of asia in hardcopy..... @#@#!@#
