You can use the JobStreet Salary Report as a guide to know what's the range of salary for someone with similar year of experience/ qualification as you.

Jobstreet is a very bad salary indicator since it's completely not representative of the actual salary range in the current market.

Payscale's data is more accurate in my experience.

IMO it's quite reflective. You can see based on x number of years experience and people with this title is earning between the bracket of x to y amount. At least it's accurate for the nature of my work.

If you say that it's a bad salary indicator, it's best you justify why and how is it different compared to Payscale and based on your observation, what's lacking in JobStreet's report. It will be better for you to explain rather than just saying it's not accurate without any explanation/ reason.

Wow!

Is this report correct?

Such low salaries?????    Earning 5k at almost 50 years old with more than 20 years experience???

Cannot be right!   rclxub.gif

Not everything is correct, they do put a disclaimer saying it's merely a guide. it can be inaccurate depending on industries and requirement. There is no one same situation for each individual. If you can find better ones, by all means go ahead and share. This is quoting from JobStreet which is Malaysians' #1 job portal, so it has somewhat of credibility. However, you don't have to take their report for granted as it may not be applicable for all.

Make sure you change it to Malaysia and are seeing the amount in RM. Lastly, there's a range from minimum to maximum, but there's no rule to say you can't request for salary higher than the maximum bracket. It's your choice.
