Wow this is nearly unheard of, 4 years in the same company you can get 12k basic salary, even people joining a new company will not get that much. How many promotion did you received? And what was your first salary drawn when you join the company? Just curious

Worrying but could be kinda real too. Of course hopefully that won't be the case..
I'm IT graduate so might be very different path with yours. Not very familiar with financial career path.
My first drawn salary was around 4k. About 4 promotions but MNC does it differently I guess. Promotion Vs merit goes separately and sometimes can come together.
*
I'm also in MNC but nvr seen such career progression salary, but good job to you or finding the right one rclxms.gif

huawei @ KL. My fren working 1 year after graduation then now getting 5.5k basic salary. not to mention with bonus and allowance, monthly income can be 6k to 7k. That is the price just for bachelor degree.
*
Highly doubt this.... unless he is station outside of the country then he would reach this amount, if he is in KL then i would say its way below that.
And Huawei its contract basis, renew annually base on performance.

believe it or not, it is true.

I have his payslip but I can't post his payslip. This is roughly the breakdown:-

basic - 5.5k
bonus - 1k ( based on quarter performance, varies after 3 months depending on previous quarter performance )
handphone allowance - 300
transport allowance - 200

This is just the income when he is not outstationed.
When he goes out-stationed, there are even more allowance provided.

It is quite an unacceptable truth that someone with 1.5 years experience after graduation can get such price in the industry, but we need to accept that Huawei is really paying above the industry average, not by a bit but much higher than the average.
*
Wow talking about spoiling market, but yes its unusual to pay 5k+ for 1.5 years of experience, unless if the person is very very good in technical and takes on big projects I would agree on the salary package.

He joined with 4.5k basic salary. Increment of 1k after a year is not common, but I have heard of quite a few cases where you can get 800 to 1k increment if you jump company.

btw , what do you think the market price for such position and experience? Not very familiar with network engineering field. But because of my friend, if anyone asks me about average price for network engineer in KL, I would just say 4.5k for fresh graduate  tongue.gif
*
I'm in the network engineering field so I'm quite familiar with the salary packages out there, fresh graduates typically will get betwen 2.8k-3.5k + allowance, 2 years experience will net you around 4k and 5 years maybe 5k-7k. Usually if your jumping within a year or so to another company its a 20% increment, so for your friend to get a increment of 20% within the same company is uncommon unless he is promoted, but since Huawei is a contract basis i doubt there is a promotion for him and thus he is quite fortunate. But if he is trying to jump to another MNC company next year and ask for 7k-8k salary not many companies will hire unless he has CCIE certification or so, as they can hire for much cheaper from people jumping from another company.

So your saying he jumped from 4K to 5.5K after 1.5 years? Did you manage to ask him how he managed that? We wanna know the secret lol

even in china most are contract. unless u r in management level. btw Huawei doesn't value ccie much since they have their own certification, in this case exp does more says..

from someone working in Huawei's rival. haha
*
Yup your right Huawei does have their own cert but it only benefit their own product line, CCIE is more of a general network certification as its more recognize than other networking cert, but you really have to have interest in networking otherwise you will not be able to pass the paper at all.

and how sure are you this new job you are doing is what you are interested in? many times it's different from what you think you will be doing.

non-bias advice, dont proceed.

find a job that you like / suits yourself and a much better pay

Probably related to gaming tongue.gif , just because it suits your interested and hobby does it mean better career advancement? Better think about that as well

What a unique allowance for attendance, what is considered a 100% attendance? blink.gif
Photography in my personal opinion is a bad field to get into, young people will come spoil the market by offering cheaper rates and too much competition out there.

i think that is a good idea to tackle with problematic employee, who always take MC for no reason. Moreover it can train the employee to be punctual. First time hear about such allowance too  blink.gif
*
If 100% Attendance also means you cannot take any annual leaves, this is a barbaric move from the company, but still its still an optional allowance but just to fish you to work harder

I would go for the RM7000 company. Because the next time you jump again, it will be based on a higher salary (RM7000) instead of RM6070. You can get even higher next time.

If he looks correctly he might be able to get 8k elsewhere, jumping from 6K to 8K to a new company is not uncommon.

Lol who's salary are you trying to compare to that you think your salary is small at your age? At your age and salary is already above 70% of the people in Malaysia already, it seems that your working for an MNC company? Your company sounds like the benefit of ExxN MxxLE brows.gif

they can justify that they gave him 1 year of probation
*
But usually your annual leave on the first year is prorated, you will gain AL for every month when your with the company.
To not give any AL is just like a contractor, contractors can take AL but no pay but in this case i assume it's a permanent role so the company is doing a shit move.

You have quite an attractive salary for a lecturer in KL at your age, I know folks that have PHD and older in age and still earn less than you and your working hours are very low for a lecturer.
Is it a big private University in KL? I'm sure the average salary for lecturer at your age is no way close to what you have right now, but I may be wrong.

I believe it is possible to get 4.3k because the job nature is quite dangerous as he need to fixed the equipment, maybe on offshore RIG. I also believe his job is contract job, hence the basic is high. But 22 years old is really young and he can save a lots of money to build/invest his future if he intend to switch career or settle down.
*
He listed that he has 3 months contract bonus which I'm assuming applies to only permanent stuff, so he is probably one of the highest paid fresh grad that I know as of now.
Just want to know what exactly is his job scope and also how it was negotiate to that salary.

If he was a SG citizen and with a first class honor I would understand the package, so as a Malaysian to get this package I'm intrigued by his salary package
