Still pending counter offer from current company (leaving due to lack of career progression, not interested in the field & lack of support from HQ)

Option A is newly created position that is relatable Since its home based but concerned on no mileage claims and driving conditions (road teruk drive normal sedan only)

Option B is a vacant existing post (tough market?) But is office based, still unsure how much to demand afaik eligibility for comm means basic hard to budge high.

I would take company A, just because of the home base work. Your able to save on petrol and toll, able to cook at home so your saving a ton here, rest of the money can be invested elsewhere.

Since you mention that the job field is unrelated to your former O&G experience, then I would say your next employer would not use to judge your salary, most importantly they would want your experience in their kob scope in order for better salary negotiation
