hey guys,

lets say the PDS stream is full already but there are  places left for locals, and i've gone for the interview( first choice PDS, second local), will they give me the offer for local AND waitlist me for PDS? Or will they wait for PDS offer holders to pull out/didnt meet the requirements ?
*
They will only give you offer for the local programme....

but i called them up and they said i have to write in to tell them i want to put local as first choice and request for them to waitlist  me for PDS. They said they won't consider my second choice unless my first choice really failed(waitlisted and failed)
*
So how long is this waitlist period? First 2 years?

You had a better chance of your desired personal life at Monash. There are more than enough foreign students in Monash who shared or has similar ideals and has the time and the monies to indulge in the various vices.

not for medical and pharmacy students.

so that means if i finish my course in IMU then do a specialisation in UM, i have better chances to open my own clinic in China?
*
China is over saturated with doctors as well... nobody wants to be a doctor anymore from the recent news that i've heard...

What about dentists? How can there ever be enough doctors for a population of 1.3 billion?
*
technically it is not. but like the case of all countries, it is the rural areas that are lack of doctors. after spending so much hard work and money for the degree, how many are willing to go back to their kampungs or other kampungs to serve when the people there can hardly make a living for themselves? meanwhile in cities, the same scenario applies. too many doctors, too little places.

Hi, may i know how is the pharmacy course over there at IMU? Yea i know it's really famous and reputable and all..As i heard they are taking in loads of students per intake, 150-160++? I guess. Well, and how about the facilities over there? Is it ok? I went there before, from what i know, it's just a building. Maybe i haven't seen the real thing?
*
yeah just a single building nothing more.
