Okay so I want a watch to track my heart rate. Budget maximum is RM300

Since amazfit bip is 'newly' global launch

Should I get it?

I want to pair with iOS or use it totally without pairing.
Also must be able to swim with the watch.

And why I check on Lajadah so many versions of bip, there is bip lite, youth lite, etc.

Currently used it.. the Chinese market one... but end of last year it's automatic updated to enlish a.k.a global version when synced with mi fit due to language setting in mi fit apps... but with android.
A decent smartwatch... battery tahan for a week... battery charged fast.
Using it as normal watch + 1hr daily to count my workout.
3% battery still can tahan for more than a day.

compatible apps mi fit... but can link with strava/endomondo via 'Fitness & Notify for Amazfit' (paid - USD2.99) apps.

bip only got one version other market call it bip lite / youth / youth lite imho.

11 street. Last month they were selling at rm 1xx only with vouchers. Vouchers no more now. Normal price RM 23x

Good as a fitness tracker. Function wise really worth it.

user posted image

Size comparison is almost same as my old Pebble. Resolution feels a bit lower though.

Using one at the moment, China market one. So far so good. If u use it as a normal watch, the battery can last for one and a half month easily. Shorten to a month if u turn on automatic heart rate detection.

Yes you are right HR = direct heart rate.

Sorry, I actually wanna measure my pulse rate. Just like how Hospitals use SpO2 probe on index finger to measure pulse rate. Which is not a gimmick

I don't wanna see my pulse rate during swimming. I need a watch to know the time when I swim. The swimming pool I use do not have clock nearby.

there is technology to measure pulse rate at finger. What makes you think technology cannot measure pulse rate at wrist.

You study biotech engineering issit?

Because of difference in skin thickness and pigmentation. hmm.gif
It uses the same technology but the accuracy is way off.
But if you just want it for resting heart rate/for fun no problem. laugh.gif

I read some comments the watch is great but some started giving probs after 3 months. If buy fm China, then sure will have warranty issue.

Used for around 6 month or so..for me no issue at all..GPS also detect fast n can connect with phone easily. Just use it all day in the office and during runs..don't bring it to swim however, take good care (don't drop) it should be fine i guess. Try finding a shop with good reviews.

Want to wear to swimming, why not consider Amazfit Stratos - it's a multisport watch. You can wear it for swimming - indoor / open water.

Bip couldn't sync with Strava, but not sure if updates made it possible. But IMHO, I dont think it will be possible cos it will make the Amazfit Pace look rather expensive.

have mi band 3, honor band 4, and amazefit bip

prefer honor band 4, especially the amoled screen but huawei phone software a bit lacking compared to xiaomi

amazefit bip screen looks so dull when compared among 3, in picture/video cannot spot it...feel a bit disappointed

mi band 3 is simple and really value for money
all the measurement reading +/- the same for me

Mi band 3 is enough for me. Decent step measurement, awesome sleep tracker and good enough auto hr for you to analyze your body stress trend tru out activities.
Notifications and alarm are wonderful.

Most importantly small and light. Decent battery life.

For 100 ringgit its a bargain.

I'm also interested. The Amazfit Stratos is more like a proper smartwatch and looks classier. But for the price, I'd rather spend a few hundreds more Apple Watch Series 4.

plan to get the mi band/honor band 3 at first

but instead when for amazefit bip

been using for 2 months plus,

so far so good for me,

i hardly check my HR but kinda like how they track my sleeping hours (i can say 90% accurate on my sleeping hour)

battery life, 20 days max because i mostly turn on everything
alarm, notifications, 24hr HR monitor, colorful watchface, GPS, weather.

Erm, a warning for TS.

Xiaomi fitness trackers aren't exactly known to be particularly precise with its heart and step measurements.

BUT...the same can also be said of the more expensive Fitbit.

What I'm saying is...well...don't take their readings too seriously lar.

I bought from a shop at Kota Raya for RM750 with one year warranty. You can check out Shopee / Lazada / 11streets. Some sellers sell it below RM700.

My friend bought Stratos together with me, he managed to get 1 to 1 replacement due to the watch is unable to charge.

Usage, so far I am very satisfied with the Stratos spec. The GPS accuracy is compatible to Garmin / Suunto.

The only drawback, the evelation graph is not very accurate with the recent software update. I guess the developers will fix the flaw soon.

can sync with nike+ run club? Price is nice, but i don't want to abandon that app yet

Bip sync with Nike+? Amazfit Pace and Stratos can sync to Strava.

For Amazfit Bip, there is no direct sync to Strava. Got to go through a third party app.

Can the amazfit bip use without any apps?

I'm noobie 😄

You can wear and use the amazfit bip without the app. The Mi Fit app is just a fitness hub for tracking and showing graphs for steps, sleep, and heart rate, etc

I don't own Amzafit Bip but I guess if there is any software update to Bip, got to sync the software update via the Mi Fit app.

have mi band 3, honor band 4, and amazefit bip

prefer honor band 4, especially the amoled screen but huawei phone software a bit lacking compared to xiaomi

amazefit bip screen looks so dull when compared among 3, in picture/video cannot spot it...feel a bit disappointed

mi band 3 is simple and really value for money
all the measurement reading +/- the same for me

I wearing Startos mainly for sport activities only.

On other time, i'm wearing Huawei Band 2 Pro fitness tracker. Smaller and lighter as compared to a watch. The reason I choose this fitness tracker due to its having a GPS function. The new Huawei Band 3 Pro is using amoled screen.

Is this same for Amazfit Pace? does it corret reading in HR Tracking when running?
*
Even for the slightly expensive Startos, the HR tracking (I use it only during sport activities) is still not very accurate. I just take it as a guide.
