The noise is due to sensor size. The higher megapixel per square mm, the higher the noise.

Better angles can be taken with the flowers. The best out of the crop is #3. Try to use super macro if you have this function to get the best bokeh.

QUOTE(kelvinyam @ Aug 6 2007, 02:37 PM) To make you confuse further, there's always an optimum aperture which is usually the center of the whole range. For lens (SLR), it's usually F8. For S3IS, I've yet to find out, since I can hardly notice any difference in term of photo quality, other than DOF. It is known as the hyper-focal point. Usually prosumers and P&S is at f5.6.QUOTE(orenzai @ Aug 6 2007, 02:40 PM) optimum aperture means the sharpest photo taken? no le..i read the article say that lower f stop=bigger aperture=wider DOF ler... Smaller f number = wider aperture = shallower DOF = blurrier background and vice versa. |

QUOTE(Jvn11 @ Aug 8 2007, 12:16 AM) The aperture range given represents the widest aperture achievable by the camera at wide angle for the former and telephoto for the latter.QUOTE(ac98 @ Aug 8 2007, 12:43 AM) Seems like you have caught the sarcasm bug. |

QUOTE(kelvinyam @ Aug 8 2007, 07:42 AM) Welcome to the S series club. Relatively, yes.Added on August 8, 2007, 7:47 am I have a question here, let's say I set my S3 aperture at F3.5, in term of opening, is it the same as F3.5 on a SLR lens? QUOTE(zio @ Aug 8 2007, 10:20 AM) Please do not doubt other people's knowledge if you are smart enough to look for information on your own. |
