its not my mobo. coz i'm using nvidia 680i mobo and most of them reached 475fsb easily but in my case i only get 395fsb.

i wonder why my psu keep giving me probs..i saw in my cpu-z screenie, that when i set my vcore in bios to 1.375, in cpu-z in shows 1.376,then in a second, it change to 1.392,then change back to 1.376,keep on going like this..why?
*
Its normal, the monitoring chip that reads the Vcore is nowhere close to super accurate. Sometimes you can even get some really riduculous readings which are obviously wrong.

Not necessarily. AM2 and C2D systems are trickier to overclock than previous systems, hitting high FSB or HTT often requires tweaking a lot of settings. C2D systems are well known to have FSB 'holes' due to chipset strap settings and AM2 systems are notoriously sensitive to memory settings.

Don't worry about it smile.gif
It's normal that it fluctuates.

Well that question should be asked elsewhere..but I'll answer it anyway.
For an overclocked system, the lower the multiplier, fsb and temp, the more stable the system is. More voltage to the processor core will stabilise it more, but if there's too much voltage and it overheats, it will become unstable, perhaps even be damaged; heat + extra voltage is a very bad combination for a processor. More voltage means cooling must be better. Keep in mind processor voltage is not controlled by the PSU, but by the motherboard.

yes. thumbup.gif You are right which i already knew that fact. Let me explain. For my setup/CPU i got 400fsb hole but when straight to let say 410Fsb it will boot but unstable. Actually i managed to OC the board upto 450FSB but its not stable. i already tweaked some BIOS settings ie loose memory timings/overvoltage. I also knew that too much overvoltaging will make it unstable so i'm very cautious when increasing the voltage. i've done 4 months experimenting the board but i cant get it stable more than 395fsb. So i figured it might be my PSU. If you think that at some point i'm missing, your comments are welcome. smile.gif

Do these values look ok ? I don't really understand what these values mean actualy. When it displays 12.19 , does it mean my system is drawing 12,19 volts from the psu ? Is this something i should worry about ?

12.19 is what your 12v rail value is and from your screenshot, everything looks fine. I can see that you're running CPU/RAM at stock voltage so no overclocks smile.gif

Thanks ! I just got a GTS card....i was afraid i had not enough juice to power it at full load. Mind explaining what the value means ? As in, is my system drawing too much power from the 12v that is why it is at 12.19 intead of under 12 v??

What are the differences between zf and op/da series? From the link on first page.zf 560w is already in tier 1,whereas op/da must be above 700w to be in tier 1 psus. However,zf are comparitively cheaper compared to op/da series. Why is this so? Thanks.

Firstly ZF is comparatively old compare to teh DA and OP series, seondly the zeus is a very very very solid psu. made by etasis, basically an almost true server class level psu. The op series imo the goods ones are onyl hte 1kliwat and the 1,2k . same geos to DA ( preactically teh same except its modular ) , for pricing im not so sure.. but u look at the age of the units the zeus have been around for quite some time. OP and DA relatively young.

Hmmm so ZF is better and more stable? So if we compare 500-800w psus, not the 1k or 1.2k ones,ZF more stable den OP/DA?

Generally, the higher the number, the better it is but having lower numbers doesn't mean it's bad (unless we're talking about terribly low numbers).

I've tested both Gigabyte Superb 720W and Odin GT 550W. Although the Odin GT 550W is a quad 12V rail PSU, the +5V and Vdimm gives a lower reading compared to the 720W.
