What do you mean by a xunlei tracker ?

I use xunlei and it doesn't show who the seeds and peers are, or what country they are from

I can't even see the tracker >-<;

Because if Malaysian Government start tracking down, they will look for you.

Actually how do we tell whether we're getting the speed from local or international peers? Seems like no way to display which peer ip(s) we're connected to.

1 major disadvantage of Xunlei is it does not work like normal torrent client which display more things.

i'm in cc=cyber cafe. Maybe d cc use fiber optics? But 1 thing that i learnt using xunlei is that it largely dependent on DHT. If your torrent file doesnt have DHT enabled...than u r out of luck. when downlaoding naruto...i saw alot of seeds from DHT network compared to when downloading d movie file. I assumed d naruto files uses xunlei tracker or a chinese (http://ddong.mine.nu:6969/announce)...but i was wrong....sorry for d misunderstading caused.

p/s: forgot to say thanks very much to Hehehunter for providing d link for ayu's ad-free version..and most of all for d english translation . Maybe if we all start using xunlei...we can get alot of local seeds...

DHT is like sharing files p2p without tracker, I suppose it's more like direct connecting the users?

DHT(Distributed Hash Table) is method of a distributed storage for <key,value> pairs. There is no center server in DHT Network, every client take charge of a small range of routing, a small set of data storage, so that in the whole DHT network, data can be found, read and write.

It's like a substitute to a tracker.

eg.

TRACKER
you-->tracker-->you.

DHT
you-->someone-->you

This means you grab packets(ip address of other user downloading the same thing) from other user who is downloading the same thing with you.

Normally DHT network will give you less result than the tracker.

Why DHT Network is reliable?
Because the someone that you're grabbing packets has the list of ip address that they are connecting to. Thus, making it easier for you to connect to other user.

DHT network is similar to KAD or kademla(did I spell it correctly?) in eMule. The only difference is just that eMule is using different protocol.

get the latest Thunder 5.3.6.307 you can see the seeder and leecer IP .. most of it will be from local IP ....
