xunlei itself dont support spyware/trojan.

but it is vulnerable to infection, some chinese forum said it is possible for trojan/worm to attach itself to xunlei and upload your personal info to them secretly.

it may not be xunlei's fault, but it sure is giving me a headache.

the advertisement and modules can be infected with trojan/virus/worm WITHOUT ANY USER INTERACTION!!!

AUTOMATIC INFECTION!!!!

I really hope I'm wrong on this.

How come i everytime click on the ads but nth happen??? I'm using kaspersky anti virus

most of the trojan/virus are from china, AVG, NOD32, kaspersky, norton and everything else will not be able to detect them!!!

check your registry and task manager, you may already have been infected, it's just not showing in your antivirus.

BTW, did you not read my post at all?!! I STOPPED UPLOADING AND DOWNLOADING EVERY SINGLE TORRENTS, I EVEN DELETED THEM ALL JUST TO BE SURE!!!!.

YET IT IS STILL UPLOADING!!!! IT CANT BE UPLOADING TORRENTS, SINCE I'VE DELETED THEM FROM XUNLEI.

SO........... WTF IS IT UPLOADING?!!!! MY PASSWORD, SERIAL NUMBERS???

Ok lamely_named i already read your post about trojan psw.onlinegames, you problem same like mine last time and i have to use THIS to delete all the trojan. Keep in mind the trojan that you infect will infect your whole HD and if you got plug your pen drive or external HD it maybe infect as well. For safety remember scan that too.

I don't know you maybe you so lucky, anyway i'm on KIS.

I have already removed the trojan, using dozens of removal tools and manual removal techniques.

antivirus cant detect them completely, only some of them. I've discovered that the trojan initially reside in my temporary internet folder as an html file, a html ad downloaded by xunlei auto advertisement system!!!!!

I know this because I've stopped using internet explorer a long time ago, and it's temporary folder is empty, except for some cookies file. But after i've installed xunlei, the temporary folder is getting filled with html files and other files.

so i know IT"S FROM XUNLEI!!!!!

took me whole night to clean my system.

but I think its pretty clean now.

HOWEVER........ I've recently installed ayu xunlei (without ad), and it's doing the uploading even without any torrents thing!!!!

WTF MAN!!!!!!!

is ayu xunlei infected too?

I'm getting really tired of this.

Kaspersky wouldnt automatic deny those connection to you...
It only will warn you and you need to deny it urself....
Mayb Kaspersky got warn you but u juz simply click and didnt deny it(my attitude last time resultant my computer got alot of spyware)

No it didn't warn at all.

Once you have infected, it's very hard for you to remove it by using anti virus cuz u know the name "anti virus" not "kill virus"....
So u need special tools to remove it...
I have attached the special tools i got from techspot forum and it's really works...in case u can't remove them by ur way and u dont want to format ur pc...

do you have bandwidth monitoring software?

like DU meter?

install it, open xunlei, stop uploading/downloading anything, see if it's still uploading data using DU meter or similar software.

dont just simply say ayu is fine without even checking.

How come? Everytime i go to china website sure got alot of spyware.... U sure ur Kaspersky is ok???

my system is clean now. I dont need any tools. I've practically used them all last night.

it's just ayu xunlei is uploading a lot of data even without any torrents inside it.

U said xunlei still uploading even no torrent inside, how about others direct download files? Got in the list? Or u deleted all files. Left empty xunlei and it's still uploading?

trust me, kaspersky CANNOT detect all the viruses/trojan/worm/spyware.

no antivirus in the WORLD can detect EVERYTHING.

I have kaspersky on my other PC too, and it's still infected with chinese virus from china.

kaspersky detected nothing, but I saw the virus process running in task manager. So I did a search on my C: drive for the process name and I found the farking virus.

I dare to say that most if not ALL western made antivirus will not be able to detect chinese virus/trojan, because there are too many of them and changes all the time.

MOST CHINESE VIRUS DONT EVEN NEED TO USE YOUR REGISTRY, they can infect your system and run straight from any folder on your system.

and they are VERY VERY hard to detect.

have to search for them manually after you discover their process name.

after I turn on my xunlei Ayu for some time, I cant surf any webpage. It seems that xunlei eats all my bandwidth but the download speed is way lesser than my subscribed line.

Anyone know how to tune it?
